Fighting The Media Tech for Good Live
-
- Society & Culture
Welcome to another Tech for Good Live podcast, if you’re new here, run, run for the hills. The podcast title might sound like a lovely look at adorable technology projects doing good in the world, but more often than not, it’s actually about all the terrible stuff happening in the world.
I suppose we should start every Tech for Good Live with a content warning based on the types of things we usually discuss, but our first segment this week feels pretty heavy on sexual assault, so we’re letting you know up front.
We also talk about newspapers being divisive (nothing new there) and Amnesty international are launching an Algorithmic Accountability Lab, which we’re very intrigued by. We do have a good news story to finish up with and it’s obviously about alcohol.
Fay Schofield is on hosting duties, and she’s joined by TFGL team members Greg Ashton and Tom Passmore
And our special guest this week is Lou Lai, Strategist, fundraiser, marketer, charity lover. Lou is the Transformation Director at Manifesto London, Founder of FemMentored and a trustee of Blood Cancer UK.

Also, please don't forget this podcast is run by volunteers and we survive on sponsorships and donations. Right now one of our primary goals is to make sure all of our podcast episodes are accessible by making sure EVERY episode is transcribed. Sadly this costs money and we desperately need your help to make this become a reality! So if you've ever tuned into one of our podcasts or attended one of our events please consider chipping in the price of a cup of coffee.
