Five reasons to watch The Battleship Potemkin
We all hate homework and you might think watching The Battleship Potemkin is going to be akin to doing the times table. It's not. It's a great action film that is also a timely reminder not to take any crap of the powers that be and you should watch it right now.

A double bill of Westerns
A recent book purchase led me on a Western binge. Two stood out from the crowd The Big Trail and The Ox-Bow Incident. Both very different and both quite excellent. Enjoy.

In a Lonely Place
I've recently gone through the film of Nicholas Ray and amongst the highs and the lows really rather enjoyed In a Lonely Place. It's a film noir of sorts as well as look at the state of 1950's Hollywood.
Customer Reviews
Insightful and Precise
The 24FC is a great addition to any cinema studies fan's podcast library.
Tom does a wonderful job of presenting well organized analysis and reviews without being droll or overbearing. He reviews a great variety of films and will inspire listeners to seek out films they haven't seen or revisit ones they have.
He presents an easily digestible way to get excited about cinema again!
Great show
Tom is a lot of fun to listen to and his opinions are always interesting.
A great and insightful podcast
A very interesting show that is well researched and with intelligent analysis. I especially recommend the Ridley Scott ep, hopefully you will continue your analysis of his oeuvre. A shorter one that is also a great listen is the close up on Colossus: The Forbin Project. Give it a try. You will not regret it.
