If you’re chasing down your first 6-figure year as a mompreneur, this podcast is your one stop shop for inspiring interviews, effective, fluff-free business strategy, and mindset tips and ideas to help you develop a rock solid 6-figure mindset. I’m your host Allison Hardy and I’ve taken my 10+ years of online entrepreneurship experience and now help women create beautiful, heart-centered businesses, on their terms. My philosophy when it comes to online entrepreneurship is that your business has to fit into your life, not vice versa.

    Mantras for mompreneurs

    Mantras for mompreneurs

As a mompreneur, you have to have a strategy to re-frame your negative thoughts. We have enough “stuff” being thrown at us on a daily basis, that we have to be able to move through the very loud “mean girl” that lives inside of our heads.

A great way to do this through having a mantra to help you identify and work through negative thoughts.

    Why mantras?

They are an anchor thought. A way to center ourselves after getting knocked around by the world, other people, what we see on the news or on social media, a crappy DM, a crappy review, or….ourselves.

In today’s episode of the 6-Figure Mompreneur Podcast I want to share my mantras with you, and then want to show you how I use them to change the story I’ve told myself in the past, sometimes continue to tell myself in the present, and the new stories I start to create regarding my future.

Content trends that aren't going anywhere with Samantha Semans

Content trends that aren't going anywhere with Samantha Semans

Samantha Semans is the founder of Ten 10 Social. With a hunger for freedom in her own life and a clear understanding of the tireless work of small businesses, Samantha set out to build a business from the ground up.

She fused her passions for shopping local, creativity, and serving others into Ten 10 Social. Not only does she enjoy the flexibility and newfound freedom for her family, but loves seeing other business owners’ dreams come to fruition.

“Helping busy entrepreneurs unload the tasks they find time consuming and then being replenished by the aspects of their business they love most brings me so much joy.”, Samantha says.

In her free time, Samantha can be found volunteering with her church, drinking a tad too much coffee (if that is even a thing), and happily raising her precious kiddos.

    TAKEAWAYS:

+ Recently Samantha moved across the country and her business didn’t miss a beat. How? Her systems. Her business thrives and lives on Dubsado, Click Up, systems, and automations.

+ One of the biggest mistakes that Samantha sees when it comes to content is not speaking to your ideal client in your content. The images, the way you write/speak, what you’re talking about, all needs to geared towards your ideal client, and make you relatable. This develops a strong connection between you, your business, and your audience.

+ Having a perfectly curated feed is actually detrimental to your business. It prevents us from showing up authentically on Instagram, and capping our creativity and connection.

    My Friday wind down routine

    My Friday wind down routine

You didn’t create a business to be “in it” all the time. You didn’t create a business to work 24/7 or to never take a day off.

So why do so many of us fall into the trap of working after the kids go to sleep at night and working weekends?!

Over the course of the last year I’ve figured out a way to work 4 days a week, doing the things that move the needle in my business, while cutting hours.

And I am 100% certain it’s because I have a routine that I go through on Fridays that allow me to be fully present in my rest days, allow me the flexibility to work if I want to, and make it so I don’t have to think about my business until Monday morning.

    And for me, that’s freedom!

I call it my Friday Wind Down Routine, and in today’s podcast episode I’m sharing with you exactly what this looks like for me, to inspire you to establish one in your business to set you and your business up for your well-deserved rest.Visit the links below to learn more about:

Fostering true and genuine connection on Instagram with Molly Cahill

Fostering true and genuine connection on Instagram with Molly Cahill

Molly Cahill is a social media marketer who teaches chiropractors, NDs, health coaches, and other holistic wellness pros how to market themselves using Instagram in less time (without obsessing over followers and likes!) through her signature program, Holistic Marketing Hub.

After leaving a career in medical sales, Molly decided to combine her love of her two favorite things- all things health and holistic wellness + marketing and sales. Her unique approach isn't what you're likely used to hearing, and over the past two years, she has taught hundreds of students and clients to leverage Instagram for lead generation.

Molly and her husband, a helicopter pilot in the USMC, live in Pensacola, Florida with their four--year-old, MJ.

    TAKEAWAYS:

+ Molly’s point of view when it comes to Instagram is quality over quantity. Each of your followers/audience members is a beating heart and if you approach your business from a perspective of service to those people, instead of searching for more, it’ll make scaling much more impactful and purposeful.

+ Molly shares her favorite strategy for developing connections from her email list over to Instagram and what to do if you want to engage with someone who you don’t personally know.

+ Her best tip for working your Instagram account in 5 minutes a day or less to maximize engagement and true, genuine connection.

Creating intentional internal and external dialogues as a mompreneur with Tara Whitaker

Creating intentional internal and external dialogues as a mompreneur with Tara Whitaker

Tara Whitaker is a freelance book editor who also helps aspiring editors launch their work-from-home editing businesses. Tara helps eliminate the overwhelm and loneliness that can come with creating a freelance business from scratch with her membership program, the Freelance Editors Club. The club provides education, support, and accountability for new freelance editors so that they can strategically build their businesses without the fluff--and have fun in the process!

    TAKEAWAYS:

+ Tara’s super power is helping her clients develop and implement a specific and clear path to get their freelance editing business up and running with a focus on the work that produces results, first.

+ The first step that Tara all recommends her students take in starting their own freelance editing business is mindset. The words we use outward, as well as inward, are important and inform how we experience situations, interactions, and how we act (or don’t act) inside of our businesses.

+ As words, language, and world events evolve and morph, especially after a year like 2020, it’s important to make sure that the words we are continuing to use aren’t perceived as tone deaf, insensitive, or downright rude, despite our good intentions! Listening as we create to how others are speaking about topics is a really important skill to have as we navigate a world that is ever-evolving.
