    What is Civil Air Patrol?

    What is Civil Air Patrol?

Ever wonder if there's an aviation and leadership program designed for young people that's also an auxiliary of the USAF?

Well then you're in the right place because today we're talking all about Civil Air Patrol. CAP was founded back in 1941, only a few days before Pearl Harbor. CAP has done lots of missions for the USAF since then, we go into detail about this in the early stages of the episode. We then move on to talk about some of the cool stuff you can do in the program, as well as some great stories. I'm joined by two other cadets from my squadron: C/Capt Carter Hudson, Deputy Cadet Commander of Willow Run Composite Sqaudron, and C/SrA Nicholas Posey, the Safety Airman.

Please leave a like/review, subscribe, and we'll be back in ten days with another great interview!

Missionary and General Aviation with Bob Hamilton (TAP 21)

Missionary and General Aviation with Bob Hamilton (TAP 21)

Have you ever wondered what it's like to land a small plane on the Amazon river supporting local people?

This week on The Aeronut Podcast, I'm joined by Bob Hamilton. Bob flew cargo out of Willow Run Airport for several years, then transitioned to missionary work in Brazil, flying his Super Petrel airplane in and around the Amazon river. He has several harrowing tales from not only his missionary flying, but also some good ones from flying cargo. All of that and much more, all right here on The Aeronut Podcast.
