Amazingling Inspiring Yet Realistic
The Animation Network podcast is a great source of knowledge in all things TV Animation. As someone who has been working very hard to break into the industry, I've found all the things they discuss in these podcasts to be helpful, but realistic. They give honest feedback on what it takes to break in. One of the things I like is that they talk about the things you shouldn't do, just as much as the things you should do. It fuels my creative fire and work drive every time I listen.
Longtime Animation Fan, Ecstatic New Listener
What an extraordinary find! I am digging The Animation Network (TAN) podcast immensely. I'm not in the industry (I wish, but at nearly 50 it's a little late to be making a career change now), but am a rabid animation fan. Chris and the rest of TAN do a wonderful job providing helpful information to industry professionals and newbies, without using terms of art that might make the podcasts confusing or inaccessible to casual of fans. (As an aside, thanks to TAN I now know what it means to "animate on ones or twos.") Also, while Chris's networking advice is geared to the animation industry I've found it to be equally applicable to other professions - sound advice is sound advice. So, if you have even the slightest interest in the making of animation and the wonderful artists and professionals working in the industry then do yourself a favor and plugin and listen. I'm certainly glad I did. Thanks, Chris.
