    Exploring Yourself

    Exploring Yourself

    Season 2 finale special!

An ecologist might tell you that even though we often put things into neat little categories, everything is actually on a spectrum.
A conservationist might tell you that social justice is environmental justice.
And a wise person might tell you that if you don't first feel good with your environment and yourself, you will never have the energy or drive to be able to really put your best into anything you do, whether it is research, engineering, writing, art... and everything in between.

With that in mind,  we invited Wynter Appleford, founder of The (Trans)cribe, and their partner Aiden, to chat with us about their project on Gender Ecology, and how one can use naturalist methods to explore ourselves, focusing on gender and where we feel like we fit on this spectrum.

    Enjoy!

For new listeners, our podcast is “Serious about research, and less serious about delivery”...
Please note we do not do a lot of editing and what some might consider “offensive language” comes up from time to time in our episodes, so we hope you can sit back, learn something, and have a laugh with us!

    A State of Panic

    A State of Panic

Just like any good "Florida Man"  news headline demonstrates throughout the year, without fail, sometimes things get a little out of hand... and in terms of Florida's invasive species problem, well, we have quite a problem.

Join us as we explore the state of Florida (USA), and just how much of a butt f*ckery we have created in terms of invasive plants, reptiles, amphibians, insects, invertebrates... and more.

    Ambidisastrous

We see a repeating pattern in the study of invasive species, where an invasive plant or animal is, well… invasive and even disastrous in one area, and endangered in their native ecosystem. And though it is a common pattern, it doesn’t cease to be interesting! Join us today while we take a dive into Tiger Salamanders (Ambystoma Sp.). As both an endangered and invasive salamander.
