Our earliest memories involve gardening, canning, foraging, hunting, and fishing. In every season these mountains provide for the people living here. They provide medicine both for the soul and the body. The culture is rich in tradition, steeped in faith, and tempered with a bit of mountaineer rowdiness and pride.

Love you guys!

I love listening to podcasts while working in the kitchen and I’m so happy I found out you guys have one! My favorite homesteaders here in Appalachia! 🌄

Love hearing you in longform!

Here from Instagram, found you a while back but saw u have a new episode out this week and i thoroughly enjoyed it! Thank you for addressing this Kranitz lady and her horrible take on Appalachia…I just moved to East Tennessee from NY and I even as an outsider can see the history and culture y’all have from the short time I’ve been down here. Thankfully I’ve been following your Instagram for a while now and have learned a lot about the culture down in these parts and now have a deep respect for them as you’ve shown so much of what it means to be Appalachian.
