The Authentic Society

I respect Maddie’s understanding of the audience she will attract while staying true to herself. Her gracious attitude and unique life experiences really shape her perspective, which I’m always interested to hear. She’s always been so articulate and I feel so happy she doesn’t need to stoop to a drama level the “fans” crave to give her opinions on their family dynamics. Like all podcasts at the start they are having some audio troubles but im looking forward to the direction the podcast is going. Keep it up girls 💜

It’s definitely a different perspective! I would love to hear their perspectives 10 years from now listening to themselves now. I love Janelle and her family but to be blunt this is only going to appeal to the younger audience not to all. Some people will literally take what you say to heart. Think on that !

Maddie and Jayme talk over each other a lot, and are inconsistent in their speaking volume, which makes it difficult to listen to and requires near constant adjusting of the volume. Jayme and Maddie both use words incorrectly and have poor grammar. Examples: Jayme spent the latter half of the boundaries episode using the word “boundary” wrong (she used it like “deal breaker” or “nonstarter,” rather than boundary); Maddie kept saying her house wasn’t Instagram “cultivated” when I think she meant “curated.” Going to keep listening; hoping that as they hit their stride, they’ll work out the kinks!

I just love the idea of 2 women sharing a safe authentic space to ask questions and offer their responses to the world. You both raise some great questions, make some good points and perspectives while sharing insights of your lived experiences. Can’t wait for more!
