In another high tech collab announcement Nvidia and MediaTek announce a landmark collaboration to power the next generation of vehicle infotainment systems. With AI and immersive capabilities, the partnership aims to revolutionize the auto industry with a focus on video streaming, gaming, and interactive driver communicationThe partnership was unveiled at the Computex technology trade show in Taipei. wherein, MediaTek will integrate an Nvidia graphic processing unit chiplet and Nvidia software into the system-on-chips it supplies to automakers for infotainment displaysIncludes dashboard displays showing the environment around the vehicle, and cameras for driver monitoringHistorically, tech like this was focused on high end vehicles, but this agreement will bring this tech to a wide range of vehicles: "There are a lot of segments they (MediaTek) are addressing that Nvidia has not addressed," said Danny Shapiro, Nvidia's vice president, automotive.The first products are slated for release in 2025

A suggestion by a disabled Steallantis employee led to the company’s upgrade of over 1.8 million vehicles to issue hazard alerts, highlighting the company's drive towards safety and innovation. This new feature named “HELP: Hazard Enhanced Location Protocol” warns drivers of imminent threats like approaching firetrucks and ambulancesThe employee almost collided with an emergency vehicle and submitted the suggestion through the company’s Star*Up, an internal competition, in which employees around the world present their ideasTrpko Blazevski, Stellantis' manager of global innovation and digital partnerships, said the architecture of the automaker's vehicles allowed it to seamlessly push the over-the-air update. The idea for the alerts "really hit our heartstrings," he said."We said we need to implement this. We need to do something for our customers.” A key element of the system is HAAS Alert's Safety Cloud platform, which is used by thousands of public and private roadway fleets in North America.HELP is still in the evaluation phase and a decision is expected in three to six months.

Cavender Auto recently participated in the United Way Shoebox Program, setting a store record by filling 800 shoeboxes filled with essential items for families in need. The collective effort involved Cavender Toyota, Audi Dominion, Cavender Carquest, CAVCO Insurance, and the Headquarters teams.
