Welcome back to the Avs Hockey Podcast, your home for most everything Colorado Avalanche! You can reach James and Jay at avshockeypodcast@gmail.com if you have any feedback, questions, comments, etc. We would love to hear from you! Thanks so much for joining us, Avs fans and #GoAvsGo!

By the way, I am in no way associated and/or affiliated with, or approved by or supported by the Colorado Avalanche Hockey Team, Inc. or the National Hockey League. I’m just a podcaster trying to keep passionate Avalanche and hockey fans (who don’t get to watch them in person or on television every game, like I do) well-informed and somewhat entertained. I make absolutely no money producing this podcast either. I make the show because I have a little time on my hands, access to podcasting tools, a loving and supportive spouse, and a passion for the sport and my hometown team. Let’s go Avs!

The NHL doesn’t seem to be worried about actual wins and losses as much as it used to be. Steve Simmons, of the Toronto Sun, talks more about that here.

The Altitude TV and Comcast fight has gotten even uglier. Westword has more about that here.

Sean Tierney uses a tool called Tableau to help hockey analytics be more visual and simpler to understand. Check out his Twitter feed here.

How hot was Avalanche goaltender Philipp Grubauer during the month of March? Historically hot.

Grubauer finished w/ .955 save percentage this month, highest ever by @Avalanche / Nordiques goalie in March. He topped Patrick Roy’s .952 in March 2003. It was 2nd highest Sv% in ANY calendar month in franchise history (min 7 GP), trailing only Peter Budaj’s .957 in Dec. 2009— Brendan McNicholas (@bmcnich) March 31, 2019

Unnecessary

We are spoiled by the amount of legitimate Avs podcast this season, from AJ & AD to JJ & Zach to the podcast formerly known as MHH. Not enough time to get around to these lesser ones anymore.

Awsome!

Best podcast ever! It's your home for almost everything Avalanche, need I say more? Listen to the podcast, follow @AvsPodcast and @tapeleg on Twitter, watch the games and enjoy life. It's that simple.

Must listen for any Avalanche fan!

Game reviews, trade discussion, general team news, and witty banter. The hosts present professional views, but from the voice of the true fan, with a balanced approach.
