Quantity Over Quality

The B-Team will probably not read my review and choose to ignore my criticism and label it as “toxic”, as so many do nowadays, however I used to enjoy listening and looked forward to new episodes. This isn’t the case anymore so I decided to write and bring some outside perspective and maybe help people searching for good podcasts. If you are interested in video game podcasts there are better options out there. If you're into movies, TV shows or comic book reviews or impressions, there are better options elsewhere as well. If you want to know more about concerts, restaurants, traveling, tourism, etc. there are also much better podcasts focused on leisure. Who is this podcast for other than for the people who produce it themselves? You could say that this is a podcast about nothing, but that would be an insult to Seinfeld one of the funniest TV shows ever made. This podcast just seems like a chat between friends without any awareness of the listeners and sadly it has lost the main focus which used to be video games. When the show was composed by the four members (Chip, Ryan, Fred and Chris) it was more informative, objective and had much better chemistry. Currently it is extremely slow to pick up the pace, full of dead air and unfunny jokes. Sometimes the podcast becomes so tedious that even one of the members falls asleep during the show. You can skip the first 40-50 minutes (sometimes more than one hour) as they mainly talk about mundane topics related to their personal lives without any meaningful point or at least trying to put some effort in making the stories more interesting for the listener who is not a part of their "inside club". The host often proudly mentions how the B-Team has never skipped a week without an episode since its inception (which is an incredible accomplishment), however I would argue that quality over quantity should not be taken for granted. Even though it has being produced for many years, the technical quality of the podcast is also decaying: audio levels among the participants are never well balanced, the host naturally speaks much louder than the rest and has a tendency to abruptly yell. In addition he is now usually vaping without muting his microphone, generating extremely unpleasant breathing, blowing, and inhaling sounds.

Great podcast

One of my favorite podcasts. This idea has never been done. Going behind the scenes of the Kevin and Bean show, all the history, and so many unanswered questions finally answered. The guys are funny on top of that! Way better than the K&B show.

Glad that Fred is back from Hiatus!

Love the show guys and gal. Keep up the good work!
