From the Files of the Batcomputer #51: Legends of the Superheroes

A group of super villains have set a doomsday device to go off in one hour and the superheroes must find it before it's too late.
John and writer Jim Beard and filmmaker Robert Long are in the Batcave this Christmas Day and discussing the two episode series of specials featuring Adam West, Burt Ward and Frank Gorshin reprising their classic Batman 66 roles.  The first episode is an actual story, of sorts.  The second episode is a roast.  Seriously, it's a roast of the heroes by the villains.  In this episode, we look at the casting of heroes for this team, the lack of real action, and the range of Frank Gorshin.

Love Batman on tv & screen? This is the podcast for you!

This podcast is THE companion to the Batman TV series of the 1960’s. Plus incisive reviews of everything Batman on the big and small screen.

One of my favorite Batman podcasts!

Wish you would do episodes touching on the Back to the Batcave-Misadventures of Adam & Burt movie, the Legends of the Superheroes specials, and as painful as it admittedly would be to you, the 70’s Filmation series since Adam & Burt both worked in the series in their iconic roles.
Good or bad a critical analysis by Batfan’s would be welcome. I watched that series first run as a Batfan boy, was thrilled to have Adam & Burt’s voices on my tv coming out of Filmation Batman & Robin’s mouths. In whatever form, my heroes were back! Please consider it.
Another cool nod would be to do episodes devoted to Adam’s work as the Gray Ghost in BTAS, his work as Batman in the Super Powers/Superfriends shows, his work as the Mayor in The Batman show, his episodes of The Brave & the Bold, his turns on The Simpson’s, his episodes as Catman in Fairly Odd Parents and Batman-New Times, the Dave School Lego style movie.
A lot more ground to cover dissect and analyze. And an eager public hungry for more discussion about Adam, Burt and Batman.

Decent show but...

“To the BatPoles” is the better BatMan podcast. John gets hung up on strange things that make no sense. One example is he keeps complaining if the same music isn’t played during every bat fight. Like, who cares?
He also plays these lame horn sounds after someone makes a joke on the show. It really hacky and he doesn’t lower the volume properly on them so it’s very jarring.
Other than that the show is ok if you like a host that doesn’t do any research before he reviews an episode.
