Episode 21: Practice
We finish our year with an immense episode. Recapping Florida’s Strongest Man leads us down a very worn and familiar path of overcoming hardships and asking for challenges that allowed us to leave our hearts on one more podcast for 2019. Although it hasn’t been an easy year for all of us, we can surely be grateful for that one candle light amongst it all, and for that .. we are warriors.
Episode 20: The Miami Throwdown
“We eagerly sit down to discuss the journey to the Miami Throwdown and the awesome wake left behind on our 20th episode of The Battle Axe Podcast. The path was arduous, difficult, and at many times lonely as are all great things in life but one thing is for certain, it wasn’t done alone and it wasn’t done for the wrong reasons. Sit down, think outside of yourselves and listen in for what it takes to do Great Work.”
Episode 19: The Paths
“All things are cyclical, connected and intertwined. From coaching, to injuries , to traveling and being an athlete . We find a common base amongst all these subjects all throughout our lives. But what sets them apart just enough to make the true difference in each path is what we are after on this episode of The Battle Axe Podcast”
Episode: 18 - The weighted carry
"No road worth walking has ever been paved without hardship, sacrifice and perseverance and we can say the same, that no road worth paving has ever been walked without life's weight pressing you down. We sit down and explore what it takes to keep going when life is handing you stones instead of lemons,"
Episode 17: Ed Coan "Don't be a D*%k"
Come be a fly on the wall as we sit down with Powerlifitng’s greatest athlete and tell war stories, talk s**t and laugh our asses off. A change in pace to our normal episodes and a refreshing outlook on lifting and life with the GOAT Ed Coan
Episode 16: Perseverance
“We sit down to talk world strongest man and the ideals of coaching through injury. As we dive deeper into the psyche of injury and strongman we find ourselves in an array of introspective conversations on courage, character and never forgetting where you came from. Banks and MDLP are genuine people, on and off the microphone. The podcast is always a great listen and the pair have an excellent rapport that leads them down avenues of conversation that are often intriguing and easily relatable. Worth the subscription and I’m always looking forward to the next show!
Not a podcast guy
Hi - I am self admittedly not a podcast guy or a strongman guy. That being said, I look forward to the next Battle Axe episode as soon I finish one. The two hosts work together seamlessly. The line of questioning, the absolute motivation, and general interest in the podcast is infectious. As a new business owner, I enjoy hearing MDLP’s thoughts on his own business.
Circling back to not being a podcast or strongman guy. I guess I am a podcast guy now - specifically this one. It doesn’t matter your background or interests; this is a good listen every single episode.
Solid Content & Wisdom
I have been listening to MDPL’s Instagram rants for a few years now. I am glad to have another outlet to hear his thoughts on the sport of strongman & his takes on leadership! Well worth the listen!
