The Elephant Man / The Rock

In our long-awaited 2nd Episode, my brother (Gavin) and I (Noah) continue our long, strange trip through the filmographies of Michael Bay and David Lynch. For this outing, we're looking at one of Bay's most well regarded movies, The Rock; and one of the least Lynchian Lynch films there is, The Elephant Man. *Note* There is no Brendan's Cherry Pie segment for this episode (look forward to a future bonus episode where we'll chat TEM) but Brendan will definitely be featured on all future Lynch originals (Blue Velvet, Lost Highway, etc...)

Intro / Outro ("Rocket Man" by Elton John "Lynchified Remix" by Noah Blanchard) Mid-Break Bumper ("Stone's Gone Up" by David Lynch "Remixed" by Noah Blanchard)

    Eraserhead / Bad Boys

Sometimes listeners, Christmas comes early...After several months of teases and a solid month of teasers (too many?) The Ark of E Network & The Blanchard Brothers proudly present the 1st Episode of the podcast nobody asked for, but everyone deserves, The Bay of Lynch. My brother (Gavin) and I (Noah) are still hard at work banking episodes for the run, so don't expect us to be on a weekly schedule for just a bit, But for now, you can finally hear our inaugural episode in its entirety. We open with our introductions to Lynch and Bay (00:00:30-00:20:00) before moving into Gavin's thoughts on Eraserhead. There's also a quick visit from our good friend, and newest contributor, Brendan Reilly with his new regular segment, Brendan's Cherry Pie (00:22:00-00:25:00). Eventually we get around to discussing our rewatch of Bad Boys (01:00:00ish) and what you can expect from upcoming episodes. If you have thoughts on the cast, or suggestions for future topics/segments let us know by emailing thearkofe@gmail.com with any feedback.

Intro ("Hello" - Dougie Jones TPS3 / "Bad Boys" by Inner Circle - Lynchified Remix by Noah Blanchard) Brendan's Cherry Pie Bumpers ("Noah's Ark" by David Lynch / "Cherry Pie!!!" - Bradley Mitchum) Transition ("Bad Boys" by Inner Circle) Outro ("Snake Eyes" by Trouble / "In Heaven (Lady in the Radiator Song)" by David Lynch & Alan R. The Bay of Lynch - TEASER - Brendan's Cherry Pie - Eraserhead

The Bay of Lynch - TEASER - Brendan's Cherry Pie - Eraserhead

In this Teaser Episode, we introduce one of the many reoccurring segments that will make up The Bay of Lynch. Brendan's Cherry Pie (Working Title) features the newest contributor to The Ark of E, Brendan Reilly (a Lynch Virgin) and I (Noah, a Lynch devotee) journeying through scenes across Lynch's filmography. I screened these sequences for Brendan with little to no set-up / context and we immediately jumped on mic after each one. The result is a fantastic window into how the "average moviegoer" might view Lynch. For this Teaser, Brendan was shown the first 11 minutes or so of Lynch's first feature, Eraserhead. Enjoy...

If you have Feedback or Suggestions for future scenes to subject Brendan to, Email Us : thearkofe@gmail.com or yell at Brendan on Instagram : @bmreilly13

    Episode 0

In Episode 0 (Taken from a Movie Ark Podcast recording session*) my brother (Gavin) and I (Noah) pitch our latest addition to The Ark of E Network, The Bay of Lynch. The First and Only (at least we certainly hope so) podcast to bring together two titans of the silver screen, who couldn't be more different. One of the last true auteurs, an artist in every sense of the word, the incomparable David Lynch; and a director with a cumulative box office gross of over 2.3 Billion, who adores spectacle, the Miami Man himself, Michael Bay. We hope you'll join us on this journey through their respective filmographies as we reveal a lot about where The Blanchard Brothers' tastes begin to diverge. Episode 1 - Eraserhead / Bad Boys premieres in early 2018 (...or Christmas just might come early...). Until then, get to know us and the rest of The Ark of E Staff by checking out Our Website : www.thearkofe.com and all of our other podcasts; The Movie Ark , The Music Ark , The Four Color Ark , and the show where it all started Carpenter Revisited.
