The Between Meals Podcast features Beth Manos Brickey, FNTP, RWS, RYT, of TastyYummies.com. Food and nutrition, while very important, this is JUST ONE piece of a much larger puzzle. Movement, stress, sleep, emotions, spirit, community, play – these are just as crucial to our wellness and vitality. And should too, be investigated as both potential causes and as cures. What happens between meals is equally as important to our health.
We are complex machines. Our system is a delicate symphony of so many beautiful, moving parts. We owe it to ourselves to care for all of them, equally, so we are really excited with the Between Meals Podcast to have a space where we can get more in-depth, chat with guests and experts and dig deeper into all facets of wellness, the mindset work, the points where we get stuck, the wins and the losses.
You Didn't Get Here in 30 Days!
This one is short, but it packs a little tough-love for ya.
Reminders to stop comparing, to stop expecting fast results and to ditch unsustainable behaviors that never get you to your goals!
It's time we normalize this working taking a long time.
If you are constantly feeling behind, wondering how much longer it will take or feeling like you've been working so hard for a few weeks now and nothing has changed – this episode is for you.
Metabolism; What is it?
In this episode you will learn about exactly what metabolism is, how it affects so much more than just weight loss and weight gain, what it has to do with your nourishment, how your metabolism impacts your gut health and digestion, hormone health, thyroid health and so much more.
Are You Eating Enough?
Listen in for a list of the most common signs and symptoms that you might not be eating enough food, but first you must promise to come in with an open mind.
It would shock most people to know that this is the most common root cause I see in my functional nutrition practice, especially with women clients and IMHO it isn't talked about enough. Thanks to diet culture we are constantly bombarded by messaging of eat less and move more, "eat clean", cut out this food to heal your body and people are more confused then ever on what to eat, how to eat and the best ways to nourish their bodies. Often this leads to a lack of proper nourishment and the effects are downright catastrophic.
I encourage everyone to listen to this episode, yes, even if you feel that you have body fat to lose, especially if you aren't achieving your goals despite how hard you try, listen to this episode and consider that you may in fact need to eat MORE food.
