Tremendous & different in a Most Excellent Way!

I discovered this podcast by listening to Tim & Jon being interviewed about how this all started, on another podcast. I was intrigued . I started listening and was instantly hooked! Such deep historical, theological & biblical knowledge discussed in a natural conversational style. It’s just like if you had a bible scholar over for dinner & could really delve into a topic & ask all your questions around the dinner table.

Be aware, this is not a “lecture” or “sermon” format. It’s Tim & Jon processing through the topic conversationally, as they prepare to summarize it concisely in the final video. If you can’t take the time or want to listen to an in depth exploration in a conversation, stick with their more concise final works.

For me this is dramatically different in a most excellent way. Jon asks questions that many people would have, so I love listening to the dialogue as it probes a whole range of angles.

Tim does a fabulous job making modern sense of the original language, culture & text, all without “dumbing it down”. Tim’s mastery in revealing the depth & breadth of how all the OT & NT work together and echo each other is beyond outstanding.

I was privileged to graduate from a very well known Christian University. Then joined the church nearest the campus upon graduation. The church home to many professors with a high standard of strong biblical exegesis from the church pulpit. So I’ve had many fine resources available, more than many communities. That being said, this is the best “bible teaching” I’ve had in the last 20 years. Thank You!

Incredibly thorough and understandable for the average person

This whole podcast is a must listen for anyone who wants to know Jesus and know the Bible that points to Him. My only advice is be open to letting go of your premade categories and preconceived notions and deconstruct with Tim and John. So grateful for this as a Christian married to a Messianic Jew but this is a compelling podcast for those who don’t believe as well. Thank you guys very much.
