    Refs Bail Out the Cowboys

    Refs Bail Out the Cowboys

That's a tough call on Franklin-Myers, who hit Prescott only where his momentum would allow him while being dragged down by Terence Steele. There's nothing Franklin-Myers could have done, but he hit Prescott low and the NFL has tried in earnest to remove that play from the game altogether.
If anything, hate the rule. By no means did the Jets pass rusher "rough" the passer. Perhaps the league should consider a name change because there's a distinct difference between a low hit and roughing the passer.
Either way, you can argue the Cowboys were bailed out by this call. After a couple more Jets penalties -- including another questionable roughing call on Michael Clemons and a brutal DPI in the end zone on 3rd down -- Prescott connected with rookie tight end Luke Schoonmaker from one yard out for six.

3 Contract Decisions that Will Haunt the Cowboys

3 Contract Decisions that Will Haunt the Cowboys

Overall, the Dallas Cowboys front office has done a decent job of building their roster in recent years. They've avoided signing over-priced free agents and have done well in the NFL Draft.
That doesn't mean they're without fault — and we can see the way they've overpaid in-house players such as Ezekiel Elliott as an example.
While we won't be looking at that deal (since it's now in the past), here are three contract decisions that could come back to haunt the Cowboys.

Is It Time to Bring Back Zeke

Is It Time to Bring Back Zeke

The running back position will be heavily scrutinized throughout training camp and preseason. If the Cowboys don’t like what they see from the current options behind Tony Pollard, they would be wise to have a Plan B in place. That backup plan could very well be a familiar face, Ezekiel Elliott. He may no longer be the RB he once was, however, he would be an excellent backup who would complement Pollard almost perfectly.

Dallas Needs to Consider Trading for Cordarrelle Patterson

Dallas Needs to Consider Trading for Cordarrelle Patterson

In this episode, we discuss the Dallas Cowboys' impressive offseason moves and their pursuit of the final puzzle piece to complete their roster. The Cowboys made significant moves, re-signing key defensive players and securing the services of their defensive coordinator, Dan Quinn. They also acquired Brandin Cooks and Stephon Gilmore via trades and bolstered their defense through the draft. However, despite these positive steps, the team still feels incomplete.
We explore the decision to release Ezekiel Elliott and the subsequent signing of Tony Pollard to his franchise tender. To supplement the running back position, the Cowboys added Ronald Jones in free agency and drafted Deuce Vaughn. Nevertheless, there remains a need for another weapon in the backfield, and we propose that trading with the Atlanta Falcons for Cordarrelle Patterson could be the ideal solution.

Winners and Losers from the 2023 NFL Draft

Winners and Losers from the 2023 NFL Draft

The Dallas Cowboys made eight selections in the 2023 NFL Draft.
Fans speculated whether the team would trade down at a certain point in the name of compiling more equity, but they actually traded up in the fifth round to nab corner Eric Scott Jr. after they drafted offensive lineman Asim Richards nine picks earlier.
In a vacuum, Dallas filled all of their needs in the draft. Fans can debate whether certain positions should have been addressed sooner, but they reacted to how the board fell and opted to go defensive tackle (Mazi Smith), tight end (Luke Schoonmaker) and linebacker (DeMarvion Overshown) with their first three picks.
Like any draft, the Cowboys' picks will have a domino effect on the rest of the roster. With that, who are Dallas' biggest winners and losers following the draft? Let us know your thoughts!
