Lyssa Mandel and co-host/boyfriend Phil Casale invite guests to share and discuss creative artifacts from their adolescence. Pieces include poetry, drawings, journal entries, Wicca boxes and everything else that bursts forth from our formative years. It’s painful, poignant and funny. Think of it as Judy Blume meets Dr. Phil sans the Judy Blume and Dr. Phil.

Thoughtful, Hilarious, and Fun
Love how charismatic hosts Lyssa and Phil share their embarrassing/exciting/painful/uplifting moments of nostalgia with honesty and, above all else, humor. The guests are awesome too!
Very Funny. Very Real.
I've been a fan of Lyssa Mandel's live shows for a while now but only just discovered the podcast. This show drips with empathy - it's funny but also legitimately sincere, the guests have a great time but also reveal themselves at tremendously vulnerable moments of their lives (I mean, who doesn't hate being 14?). Lyssa is extremely talented when it comes to interviewing (I can see her growing into a Marc Maron or Terry Gross type) but also so honest about her ever evolving relationship with the world around her.
As someone who experienced younger years of life, I love hearing the many stories of Lyssa, Phil, and guests. Everyone reading this review can just go treasure what got you here!
