    Konets

It is good to be here with you all the fans of The Blacklist, here at the end of all things.  Konets or The Ending did not disappoint!
Support the Show! Be sure to #FillTheFedora on Patreon.
Case Profile for Konets Red has one last thing for Liz to do after they escape The Nest, kill him and take over his empire.  But first they spend the day in the park, walking and talking and leading us to the big reveal.
Be sure to answer our profiling question of the week: What did you think of the Season 8 finale? Visit our feedback page to leave a response or call +1 (304) 837-2278.

The Music for Konets This evening’s music started off with  “Dig Dis” by Hank Mobley the Remastered 1999 Rudey Van Gelder Edition.   In the Park, we hear a cover of “Somewhere Only We Know” by Keane performed by Renee Dominique and probably my new favorite version of the song since I blubbered through that sequence too.  Then at the restaurant party we are treated to “Keep Watch” by Adult Karate.  Then as Liz’s life flashes before her eyes in Red’s arms we hear “One Last Dream” by Radical Face.  Fun fact, Radical Face was the first big band of the series with “Welcome Home”
You can hear these songs via the official Blacklist playlist on Spotify or the same playlist recreated by us on Apple Music.

    Nachalo

    Nachalo

In the beginning, a network of Russian spies that included Katarina Rostova created a new version of Raymond "Red" Reddington, and it was good.
Support the Show! Be sure to #FillTheFedora on Patreon.
Case Profile for Nachalo Eight seasons of The Blacklist all come down to this episode, the one with the answers. Red and Liz after arriving in Latvia last time stand at the door of what will go down as one of the more visually stunning episodes of The Blacklist as they enter "The Nest" the originating source of Red's entire operation and how he comes up with the names on The Blacklist. This site is where information is collected as currency and traded for other information on heads of state, leaders of industry etc. It is here at the source that we finally get the pieces put together as to why Red entered Liz's life 8 years ago.
The episode transitions into an interesting documentary style exposition presented to us in black and white by director Kurt Kuenne who was behind the documentary Dear Zachary. During the exposition sequence we learn how Katarina Rostova was brought up in the family business of being a spy, the work she had to accomplish, and her closest friends that helped her along the way.  We learn about Ilya's involvement, Ivan's involvement, but most importantly Tatina Petrova aka "Fakearina" and how she was setup by Dom and Ilya.  All of this leading to the answer that Reddington was created to protect Liz and keep Katarina Rostova hidden. So who is "Red" Reddington, the creation? That is left for you to decide.
Be sure to answer our profiling question of the week: YES or NO. Does this episode confirm that Red is Katarina Rostova? Visit our feedback page to leave a response or call +1 (304) 837-2278.

The Music for Nachalo Only one song this week for the episode. When we see "created Reddington" step out of the car for the first time we hear "It's a Man's Man's Man's World" by James Brown.
You can hear these songs via the official Blacklist playlist on Spotify or the same playlist recreated by us on Apple Music.

    S8 Jon Bokenkamp Interview

    S8 Jon Bokenkamp Interview

Eight years of world building, character development, and a crazy mythology have all come down to the final two episodes of S8, and Jon Bokenkamp is here to tell you all about it.
Support the Show! Be sure to #FillTheFedora on Patreon.
Case Profile for Jon Bokenkamp Over the last eight years, we here at The Blacklist Exposed have had many interactions with Jon over the years.  Most of the time he dodges the questions faster than an olympic dodgeball team, but not this time. Oh No.  We have waited a long time for some concrete answers to our questions as both fans and podcasters, and in this interview... Jon delivers.
You will hear a great synopsis about the final episodes of the season and how we got to the doorstep of the answers we seek.  We talk shooting a show in Covid times, the decision to be more serialized, KEENLER taking center stage, the plumbing situation in the box, but most importantly what are the truths we should know going into next week's "document" of the entire history of the show episode 821 "Nachalo".  It will be a Blacklist episode you will never forget.

Be sure to still answer our profiling question of the week: What will we find inside the bunker? Visit our feedback page to leave a response or call +1 (304) 837-2278.

    #141 Godwin Page

Godwin Page is one of Townsend's right hands. But because the FBI has seen his face Townsend sends Godwin away, but not before Red captures him in his latest attempt to take down Townsend.
Support the Show! Be sure to #FillTheFedora on Patreon.
Case Profile for Godwin Page Red, Liz, and Dembe are pinned down at. "The Castel" by Townsend's men but figure out how to use the pipeline to escape.  This sets Red on a quest to end Townsend once and for all. Enter this week's Blacklister Godwin Page.  Godwin was Townsend's right hand and Red hopes that by capturing him and planting a tracking device in his neck, Godwin will lead Red straight to Townsend.  Turns out Elizabeth has other plans.
See Elizabeth, recently abducted from the Post Office in one of the coolest yet most ridiculous sequences ever on the show after turning herself into Cooper, is now Red's "guest" (we still say prisoner). She convinces Godwin to remove the chip and give it to her so that she can make a deal. Her life spared in exchange for Reddington.   When Godwin informs Townsend of the plan, Neville mobilizes to capture Red. But Red with Liz in tow escape on his Jet to Latvia where all of the answers for the last 8 years will be revealed.

    #129 Balthazar Bino Baker

Balthazar Bino Baker owns the 7th ward where Ressler and Liz are trapped on foot fleeing from Townsend's men.
Support the Show! Be sure to #FillTheFedora on Patreon.
Case Profile for Balthazar Bino Baker Elizabeth and Ressler are being escorted back to the FBI much to the despair of Reddington.  Even though an elaborate plan to use a decoy convoy is put into motion to protect Elizabeth, Townsend and his men are able to find the convoy and do some serious damage, not just to the cars but to Ressler who has been shot.  Liz and Ressler manage to escape on foot into the neighborhood of the 7th ward.
Enter Balthazar Bino Baker is a sort of mob boss that runs the 7th ward.  He ensures that his people and establishments are well taken care of.   He is also well connected as he knows who both Red and Townsend are.  He has established a network called the pipeline that moves money from one runner to the next without anyone but the final baton holder knowing the ultimate destination.  Red enlists Bino’s help to smuggle Liz and Ressler out of harms way.
Be sure to answer our profiling question of the week: Will Townsend tell Liz Red's secret? Visit our feedback page to leave a response or call +1 (304) 837-2278.
Balthazar Bino Baker in Pictures Here are a just a few of our favorite scenes from this week.

The Music for Balthazar Bino Baker As the show opens we see Townsend resting as “Elfentanz, Opus 39” by David Popper plunks and strings away in the background.  Later in the episode when Liz comes in to check on Ressler after his operation we hear “You’re Somebody Else” by flora cash.  Finally at the end of the episode as Red Liz and Dembe are surrounded by Townsend’s men we hear “Solitude” by  Black Sabbath.

The Best Podcast for a Blacklist Fan!

I’ve been listening for years, but just got an iPhone so now I’m writing a review on here. Troy and Aaron are the best! They never fail to make me laugh out loud in an episode, and their breakdowns and segments are so good that I get annoyed when I listen to different podcasts that don’t have the same type of segments. Plus, they have the best Facebook group for The Blacklist. Honestly, I’m frustrated with the tv show right now but this podcast is my favorite thing about watching The Blacklist. I’m always excited to listen.

Crux72 ,

I'm just hate watching at this point

I'm over the whole, who is he, who he isn't crud. If they got rid of Liz and just showed Red messing with the Feds and having them chase other bad guys around I would be happy with the show again.
And that last episode, Misere, was just a reshowing of what we already knew...
At this point I am just waiting for the show to end. Soon.
The podcast is fine, but the show has performed a fatality on The Fonz in trying to out jump a shark.

nitetimelistener ,

Great Knowledge and Interpretation

Love the help in tying history and episodes together to best track a sometimes complicated overall plot line. They have an in depth knowledge of the characters and how their individual stories are gradually being revealed. Aaron can come across as arrogant and condescending to Troy, which is somewhat off putting. But overall a good Blacklist recap from very obvious fans.
