"E-I-E-I-(Annoyed Grunt)" vs "Papa Don't Leech" w/ Laura Sanders

We're back after a long hiatus! Does this podcast release regularly anymore? Who knows?! This episode, comedian Laura Sanders joins me to discuss Season 11's tomacco episode "E-I-E-I-(Annoyed Grunt)" and Season 19's "Papa Don't Leech". We also talk about getting trapped in conversations, the Truman Show and COVID-19, repressing rage, the IRS (shit I have to do my taxes still!), The Dixie Chicks (when they were still called that just a mere few weeks ago!), and me selling out for product endorsements.

"Flaming Moe's" vs "Flaming Moe" w/ T. Cole Newton

"Flaming Moe's" vs "Flaming Moe" w/ T. Cole Newton

Better late than never, right?! This episode, owner of the New Orleans bars Twelve Mile Limit and The Domino, T. Cole Newton, comes on to discuss season 3's "Flaming Moe's" and breaking from tradition I manually selected the modern episode -- season 22's "Flaming Moe" wherein Moe and Smithers turn the bar into a gay bar. I thought since Cole owns two bars, let's talk about two bar makeover episodes.
We also discuss some other classic Simpsons episodes and tropes, what it's like owning a bar not only under normal circumstances, but also under these new "unprecedented times".
When bars reopen, give The Domino and Twelve Mile Limit a visit. You can also buy merch or donate to their bartenders by visiting twelvemilelimit.com

"Mother Simpson" vs "MoneyBart" w/ Benjamin Hoffman

Told ya we'd be back! The first episode recorded entirely in quarantine, and thank god I had our guest also record it because my computer did not record it! The guest this episode is comedian and political junkie and perennial perineum photographer Benjamin Hoffman. He's also 1/3rd of the fantastic leftist podcast No Pods, No Casters. Today, we discuss living in quarantine and the whole mess of this world, plus Season 7's "Mother Simpson" and get into family and a bunch of other stuff, and eventually discuss Season 22's "MoneyBart".

Smart concept! Dynamite theme song! Charming and engaging host! There is no better dissection and examination of The Simpsons anywhere else in the know universe. As for the unknown universe? Who knows?
