    In this episode, Tiffany speaks with Emily Rae Calvin. Emily is a lifelong feminist and career activist who spends her paid time advocating for survivors of domestic and sexual violence within the legal system. She spends her "free" time sewing, writing, dancing, or volunteering with the National Women's Liberation, a grassroots feminist organization fighting against white supremacy, male supremacy, and capitalism. Most recently, Emily founded the Happy Belly Project, a body/fat-positive Instagram account focused on the beauty, importance, and acceptance of our bodies with a focus on the belly as the root of that acceptance.

    In this episode, Tiffany speaks with Clarissa aka @clarissatalks. Clarissa became a body-positive advocate and plus-size influencer on Instagram through her journey to discovering her own love within herself. She is also a filmmaker who wants to break barriers in the film industry and start her own production company that is inclusive for plus size women to tell their stories. We discuss how having a knee injury led her to pursue treatment for an eating disorder and weight loss surgery.

This podcast touches on so many pieces of human experience that are worth talking about & yet often fly under the radar in our day to day conversations. I love these podcasts. Being from an older generation it’s very inspiring to finally see old stereotypes and expectations being shattered. I hope efforts like this continue so the world will be a different, more accepting place in the future.
