God’s Talents

Pastor Guzik is so easy to listen to, because it is evident that he has read the scriptures hundreds of times. He reads with such ease, pronunciation and enunciation.

I’m not intelligent enough to be able to understand all that God intended in His word, and even Pastor Guzik isn’t all knowing. However, I know that my mind and soul have been opened up so much, and my relationship with the Lord has grown tenfold because of Pastor Guzik’s commentary and my understanding of God’s word!

In the past 5 years, I have grown in my faith maturity because of my understanding of God’s word, coupled with service. Pastor Guziks commentary on Isaiah 40:31, and my new understanding of that verse has been one of the largest leaps in my commitment to God in many years! And it made perfect sense to me as he was describing the intent of the original Hebrew word for “wait on the Lord”. If we’re serving the Lord, which is physically and mentally tiring, God will renew our strength! “Mount up with wings like eagles” reminds me of the blessings I receive through service to the homeless, and why would we need to “run and not be weary” and “walk and not faint”, if we’re not serving, but merely sitting around patiently hoping God will show up?

For the first time, I finally have the courage to study Revelation, with Pastor David Guzik right here to help me gain a better understanding, in addition to my study Bible. Thank you Pastor Guzik!
