Sophomoric report of required reading?

Episode #6 about Stone Soup was incompetent at best. Shoddy audio quality of co-host, very poor scholarship, and no constructive commentary. It was like suffering through some lazy report of required reading.
If you guys can’t get over your critique then don’t make the episode! The briefest research reveals this folklore is widely popular because the miserly peasants contribute only a *portion* of their food to generate a feast. Try making soup [from scratch] sometime and you’ll understand it’s not a “zero sum game”. The ingredients stretch longer and are more delicious when combined. By your own admission, the Soldiers “added value” to the enterprise in more ways than one (more rations, merriment, strengthened social networks...). Brown’s rendition may not be the best, but don’t assume the soldiers were undeserving. In fact, your undergraduate production was mostly a pathetic apology of your biases. Get over them.
If you’re podcasting and must critique, then at least do your homework.
