Glory and scandal at the Giro: Brad's take on the tragic tale of Marco Pantani

Marco Pantani's swashbuckling victory at Madonna di Campiglio in the 1999 Giro d'Italia should have been his crowning moment. Instead, the Italian was kicked out of the race while wearing the Maglia Rosa, ending the defence of his title and sending his career into freefall.
Brad shares his memories of 'Il Parata' as we take a look back at the Italian legend's tragic turning point with another episode of Re-Cycle, written by Felix Lowe, narrated by Graham Willgoss and produced by Pete Burton.

2020 – A year like no other | Hugh Carthy the complete package but will EF back him for GC in 2021?

2020 – A year like no other | Hugh Carthy the complete package but will EF back him for GC in 2021?

Brad and Graham are back and joined by living legend Sean Kelly for the last episode of the Bradley Wiggins Show this year to dissect a season like no other.
The trio deliberate on the truncated racing calendar with Sam Bennett and Tao Geoghegan Hart’s exploits at the Tour de France and Giro d’Italia lauded. King Kelly breaks down his nerves as protégé Bennett sealed Champs-Élysées glory.
Primoz Roglic, who saw a maiden Tour de France win agonisingly taken from his grasp by Tadej Pogačar, bounced back to claim a consecutive Vuelta a España to continue an astounding few years.
Elsewhere, Hugh Carthy was the latest breakthrough act in a season of breakthroughs, and Brad calls the Lancashire rider the finished package, who has a genuine chance of winning a Grand Tour. However, will EF Pro Cycling back him?
2012 Tour de France winner Brad expects Team Ineos to bounce back after – despite Giro success – a disappointing season but raises questions over some of the signings the British-based team have made.
Chris Froome, who is set to sign with Israel Start-Up Nation for the 2021 season, expects excellence, adds Brad, and his team have made some astute signings to support the seven-times Grand Tour winner as he goes in search of a fifth Tour.
The trio wrap up with their moments of the season and expectations for next year.

Hugh Carthy proves he can challenge Vuelta elite | Froome comeback could stretch to fifth Tour de France win

Hugh Carthy proves he can challenge Vuelta elite | Froome comeback could stretch to fifth Tour de France win

Brad and Graham are back and joined by Sean Kelly for the latest episode of the Bradley Wiggins Show to ruminate on a busy week of cycling.
The exploits of Tao Geoghegan Hart are given a warm appraisal, there is criticism for the UCI following a rider protest ahead of Stage 11, and Sean and Brad reflect on opportunities missed.
Jonathan Vaughters speaks to Orla Chennaoui, suggesting that Primoz Roglic could fade towards the end of the third week of the Spanish Grand Tour, and adding that his EF rider Hugh Carthy, who won Stage 12 to put himself in GC contention, is an underrated time-trialist.
Brad and Sean add that Carthy has shown he can challenge the elite, and that the rider from Lancashire, should believe that he can go on to win a maiden Grand Tour. Elsewhere, as the Vuelta has progressed, Brad adds, Chris Froome has shown encouraging signs of a return to form and could challenge for a fifth Tour de France next year.
To finish, Brad and Sean reflect on the challenges of the fearsome Alto de l'Angliru, which Brad rode in 2011 with a broken collarbone.

Tao seals stunning Giro win - and Brad speaks exclusively to Britain's new superstar

Tao seals stunning Giro win - and Brad speaks exclusively to Britain's new superstar

Sunday witnessed another remarkable moment in the history of British cycling as Tao Geoghegan Hart won the Giro d'Italia for Ineos Grenadiers, seeing off Jai Hindley in the final time trial in Milan after going into Stage 21 level on time.
Tao becomes the fifth Brit to win a Grand Tour, a run started by Brad and carried on by Geraint Thomas, Chris Froome and Simon Yates. We hear the interview Tao conducted with Brad during The Breakaway after his stunning victory on the streets of Milan.
Brad and Graham reflect on a wonderful achievement for the Londoner, the relationship he has with Brad and the qualities which make him so special.
Ineos Grenadiers managed to bag GC as well as seven stages despite losing G early on in the race, with Filippo Ganna picking up the final stage to round off a stunning Grand Tour. But special praise is reserved for Rohan Dennis too after his herculean efforts to bring Tao to the title.
We look back on a quite unforgettable Giro - but let's not forget another big British talent, Hugh Carthy, who is now second on GC in the Vuelta...
We are back next weekend for the latest on the Spanish Grand Tour.
