Create a Better Year by Letting Go of These Three Things
Today marks my 58th year of life and 10 years of managing breast cancer.
I’ve learned a lot in my time here on earth and as I look forward to my 59th year, there are three things that I will be intentional about reducing in my life.
In this show, I’ll share those three things with you and how they can subtly take away from living life to its full potential.
The Pressure to Be Happy
We do anything to move closer to happiness, even if it means we never spend time dealing with what is making us uncomfortable.
If we’re not happy, other people might feel uncomfortable or worried, or that we may appear ungrateful for all the good things in life.
But what if we can have all the good things and still be ok with exploring the uncomfortable so we can change them too?
Check out this episode to hear more about creating more happiness by not giving in to the pressure of being happ
Maybe You Need a Good Cry
Big girls don’t cry, but maybe they should. Few of us are told it's okay to cry. Instead, we’re told don't cry, stuff it in, never let them see you cry.
That may have been necessary to get through life not so long ago, but we live in different times. Now we know more about emotions, emotional wellbeing, and expressing ourselves in healthy ways. It may be difficult to process at first, but crying is known to support the release of pain.
Check out this episode for insights on why you need a good c
How to Manage Negative Cancer Stories
How many times has someone heard you had breast cancer and immediately told you a story of someone they know or heard of who died from breast cancer?
In this show you'll hear about a client of mine who was looking for a solution to this type of situation.
I'll also share how to manage a situation like this without going into an emotions spin out.
Ask Yourself Better Questions
We are exceptional when it comes to caring for others, and we're happy and proud to do it.
But, we're not so great at taking care of ourselves or allowing others to care for us.
In this episode I'll give you insights on:
-What happens when women give more than they have
-How we end up feeling
-What we tell ourselves about accepting help
-What you can ask yourself to practice better self care and have deeper connections
What if This Could be Different?
In this show I’ll talk about what it means to feel stuck, why it’s important to be aware of that that feeling and how you can move beyond it.
Life after breast cancer comes with lots of tough choices but waiting around for them to get easier or better doesn’t support creating a happier life.
What if things could be different now?
Listen in and find out how.

I wrote the below review during the beginning of my journey about two years ago. I STILL listen to your podcast and am part of such a wonderful community of women. I have grown so much thanks to Laura!! She has helped me in so many ways, beginning with mindset and thinking, inspiring me endlessly! To everyone out there I say come join us!
From several years ago:
Laura, Facing challenges myself I stumbled on your podcast in my search for some educational and emotional support from the warriors battling cancer and learning to get back to a new norm of life. I was beginning to feel alone in my journey and your podcast has brought so much hope and enlightenment. I feel so empowered! I really only started listening to your podcast a couple weeks ago and so much has resonated with me. The podcast Transformation was amazing. My new mantra (well I have several thanks to you!) is “Challenges will come. Don’t resist transformation. Embrace it”. I say it over and over in my head on the tougher days. And then I ask myself “WHAT are you going to do? Not the WHY me”. I also absolutely love “Let your lifestyle be your medicine!” I am a physician and I have carried so much of this into my daily practice caring for others! A huge thank you for making such an impact!!
Essential in helping me live life on my terms
After a breast cancer diagnosis at 43, I was devastated. I started listening to this podcast while I was in active treatment. Three years later it has been immensely helpful in managing the pain, fear, feelings, and self doubt that haunted me. Laura and her guests on this podcast have been instrumental in helping me live life to the fullest. There are still bad days. There is still fear but it no longer limits me in the way it did for nearly three years. Thank you, Laura! 💕✌️
