This may seem like a long time, considering there was a whole invasion happening at the time. And it was. But, to be fair, the politics were very confusing.

🤍 Hands down favorite thing to listen to!

I’m just a bit obsessed. The rich historical storytelling is incredible and there’s nothing really quite like it! I’ve blazed thru all 8 seasons in 2 months (listening at 1.25 speed) and I almost don’t want to catch up because it means I’ll have to wait for new episodes haha.

Thank you Jamie for this unique and extremely engaging connection to our history. Don’t change a THING. Clearly, the majority love what you’re doing for us.

Now please do Irish, Welsh, Scottish, and French exclusive history podcasts! I need them all! Lol ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

390 episodes before the Battle of Hastings!

Almost 400 episodes explore Roman, Dark Age, And Saxon Britain. That fact alone speaks volumes for this series! Yes it gets granular and a marathon listen might get overwhelming, but this is a remarkably well researched and entertaining historical podcast. It’s enthusiastic and jingoism free.

Most histories on the topic sprint past 1066 as fast as possible, and many people never tire of the Tudors, so it’s a real treat to find one that really takes it’s time. I am curious to see how far this will go.
