Episode Thirteen - Review Anthology II

Episode Thirteen - Review Anthology II

It's that time of year when I can't cover every game with a full review, so here's another review anthology where I will talk about 4 recent releases.

Truffle Shuffle, Arkham Horror LCG: Innsmouth, Paris and The Search for Planet X all get their fair share! Come hear what I have to say!

On top of that, there's some more developments for the channel in general such as my recent Top 10, my name change for the solo playthroughs and my recent subscription to Streamyards.

Episode Twelve - Into the Oniverse

Episode Twelve - Into the Oniverse

Lockdown has begun in the UK which means I need help with my sanity again. Well the podcast is one way to do it! But also plenty of solo gaming! So for this episode I thought I would look at the Oniverse series of games and rank them in order of my preference.

On top of this some developments have happened with regards to my latest Patreon goal and I give my first impressions of Isle of Cats, both multiplayer and solo mode.

    00:00 - Introduction & Channel Updates
08:25 - Kickstarters (Pursuit of Happiness / Freedom Five)
17:10 - New Games and Isle of Cats First Impressions
23:50 - Into the Oniverse (ranking the games)
    41:56 - Wrap Up

Episode Eleven - House Rules (Yay or Nay?)

Episode Eleven - House Rules (Yay or Nay?)

Is the game not good enough for you? Do you feel it needs a tweak here or there for your own enjoyment? Then feel free to introduce a house rule. But should you do so? Should you tell everyone at the table? What house rules work better than others? What examples are there? All this and more is part of the main discussion topic.

Before then though we have a call to action on the Patreon to allow multi-user streaming, my play of Stockpile, my first impressions of the Shadowed Paths expansion to LOTR: Journey's in Middle Earth and how my week has been in general.

Episode Ten - Issues with My LCG's

Episode Ten - Issues with My LCG's

Lots of content on this episode including 3 reviews and some discussion.

First up, my reflection of the Top 100 saga and channel updates!

Then 3 reviews covering the following games:
    Village Green
    Quirky Circuits
Marvel Champions: The Once & Future Kang

And finally I want to mention some warnings with my favourite LCG's. I love these games immensely, but no game is flawless and before you suddenly jump in and start buying them, maybe you should listen to my personal issues with each game just in case. . . .

Episode Nine - Review Anthology I

Episode Nine - Review Anthology I

The first of many review bonanza's I'm sure in this podcast. I have a lot of games to talk about and today I'm going to talk about 3 in particular.

Splendor: Marvel, What's Missing and Alubari: A Nice Cup of Tea all get a proper review in this podcast episode. Hear my thoughts, hear my rating! Let's discuss!

Episode 8 - Sponsored by Marvel

Episode 8 - Sponsored by Marvel

I'm suffering from a sore throat caused by a hot spicy curry from last night so bare with me, but I didn't want to deprive you all of content!

This episode is effectively the Marvel special! I will be reviewing (experimenting with podcast bitesize reviews to maintain work/life balance) the expansion to Marvel Champions "The Rise of Red Skull" and the Love Letter reimplementation "Marvel Infinity Gauntlet".

After that I'll be taking a look briefly at Splendor: Marvel and Smash Up: Marvel to see if there's anything specific to look forward to in those games.

Smart, opinionated and unapologetic.

The Broken Meeple is one of my favorite board game media creators. Luke has strong opinions which I greatly appreciate, he let’s you know what he think. And while I don’t always agree, I admire his insights and knowledge about games. I love his YouTube channel as well. If you want true and honest insight, this is the place.

Simply the best!

Whether you enjoy listening to his first impression of games or a full review you will get top notch info. His angry British rants are hilarious! I love this podcast!

Far too much negativity

I subscribed due to The Broken Meeple and Every Night is Game Night top 100 cooperative games. But far too much negativity is this podcast. Dropping.
