Features and Benefits of Innovative Startup Act

Features and Benefits of Innovative Startup Act

In a survey commissioned by Linkedin in 2018, the results say that many Filipinos express their desire in entrepreneurial pursuits, but 46% said that their main barrier is their financial status followed by fear of failure. Economic progress according to Joseph Schumpeter are because of 2 factors: innovation and capitalists. If Filipinos remain to have these barriers, then it will be hard for the Philippines to have economic progress. But now, Filipinos without financial capacity, who wish to start an innovative business, may do so. This is because of Republic Act 11337,

The Philippine government has finally recognized the importance of innovation in driving national competitiveness. In April 2019, the President has signed the Innovative Startup Act, a law providing benefits and programs to strengthen, promote and develop the Philippine Startup Ecosystem. So, if you are an entrepreneur who has an innovative idea, this maybe the break you have been waiting for. In this podcast I will discuss the features and benefits of this act and hopefully by the end of the podcast, you will have greater desire to pursue your startup idea.

    Lessons from the first innovation

    Lessons from the first innovation

I have been slacking off lately on my podcast script because I have been busy with work, and because I am already too tired at the end of day, I chose to play computer games instead. I have been itching to write a podcast script during the past 10 days, but I cannot find any inspiration. Good thing, I picked up Peter Drucker’s book and read an article: Lessons from the first technological revolution. This essay inspired me to write this script. Continue to podcast.

    Correction:

“all its institutions were responses to opportunities and challenges that new technology offered. All its institutions were essentially aimed at making the new technology most productive.”

In the podcast  I said more productive, it should be most productive.

How to sell better using Whole Brain Thinking Model

How to sell better using Whole Brain Thinking Model

Selling is a very important skill for entrepreneurs, even more for start up entrepreneurs, because during start up there is a need for consistent sales that will ensure the survival and growth of the business.

In this podcast, I will talk about how start up entrepreneurs can sell better using a technique I have employed since 2011. If you are not in the start up stage, that’s fine because anyone who sells will benefit from this. I have included this method in my programs because it is effective when applied correctly. Pandemic Proofing a Business

    Pandemic Proofing a Business

Someone asked me to do a podcast on making businesses pandemic proof. I must say that this is quite a broad and challenging topic because there is no such business not affected by the ups and downs of economy, let alone a pandemic. And pandemic proofing maybe misleading so I want to clarify here that pandemic proofing a business does not mean without any adverse effect on the business but rather softening the impact based on response and industry placement. The best way to learn is to check the industries and businesses that were resilient against the effects of the covid pandemic.

So, in this podcast, I will share with you the industries that thrived, and the actions management did to survive the pandemic. Information that I will share comes from various sources like news articles, studies, and personal knowledge. Continue to podcast

Coke Dominates the Market, But Pepsi Tastes Better, Why?

Coke Dominates the Market, But Pepsi Tastes Better, Why?

    Relationship between brand and feelings.

A band is what people associate you with when they see or hear about you. Let me ask you this:  what kind of watch is Rolex? I bet the first thing that comes to your mind is: an expensive luxury watch. If not, then that is what you think of what Rolex is; that is the image that you have formed in your mind. Now, If I ask you what you feel when you wear a Rolex and say, I feel powerful, then that is the feeling you associate Rolex with. Feeling, then, is the emotion people associate brands with. This feeling or emotion that I am talking about is the reason why people prefer a brand over another brand

In this podcast I will show the relationship between brand and feelings by sharing the Pepsi and Coke blind taste test challenge story. By the end, you will know what you need to do with your brand to emotionally connect to your consumers. You will also see why feelings are what people use to choose a brand.
