Rethinking Productivity with Feminine Energy ft. Jada Dobesh
If you're a woman, this episode may just blow your mind. I knew this was going to be an amazing conversation, but honestly, it was so much more impactful and helpful for me personally than I could have imagined it to be, and I hope it is the same for you.
Today's guest, Jada Dobesh, is a Spiritual Director and the creator of Selah Space, a holistic wellness co-op in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. In her work, Jada offers her clients the space and the practices needed for holistic healing and sustainable wellness. From your cycle, to your enneagram type, from spiritual direction to reiki, and other wellness services, Jada intentionally honors her client’s spiritual, physical, mental, and emotional well-being in her practice.
Join Jada and I as we touch on a variety of topics that have become more popular in the last 5 years - the idea that we can manage businesses and focus on productivity in a way that is more inline with the feminine part of who we are. Come with me on this journey toward greater productivity by leaning in to our natural rhythms as women instead of trying to fight against them in one of the most helpful conversations I've had.

My Quarterly Goal Setting Process
There are so many different strategies and ways to set goals as a business owner that it can feel overwhelming. That overwhelm can actually hinder your thought process around where your business is heading and keep you from making a plan to focus your efforts on the things you want to accomplish in your business. People who are overwhelmed rarely take action, so by breaking goal setting down in a way that is simple to understand and simple to do, you will get out of the goal-induced overwhelm and into action.
There are only three steps to a successful quarterly goal setting session that will help you build intentionally and help you see the results you want to get out of the next quarter in your business. My foundational structure is something you can build on top of as you get more comfortable with goal setting or if you're a seasoned goal setter.
Quarterly goal setting is one of my favorite topics! Press play and let me share a super simple goal-setting process that will help you get unstuck and give you the foundation to help you move from goal setting overwhelm to a simple, streamlined workflow to plan your quarter.

Curating a Productive Environment for Goal Setting
If you're like me, you're likely to fall into the trap of productive procrastination. It's the type of procrastination that keeps you busy with one thing (usually busy work or menial tasks that are low on the priority list) to avoid doing things that actually move the needle forward in business and life. It's the type of procrastination that most work-from-home business owners are likely to fall into at home because distractions are EVERYWHERE.
In business, we measure our productivity based on our goals. How do you determine if it was a productive year? I hope you're not tallying how many menial tasks you crossed off each day. I hope you're measuring how much growth and progress toward your goals those tasks have actually produced for your business and life. And if you set the wrong goals, you could easily waste a whole year moving your business in the wrong direction and realizing that you didn't accomplish much that was worth celebrating.
With this in mind, your ability to set strategic and aligned goals can make or break your productivity as a business owner. Productivity starts with clarity on what you want to accomplish and as the CEO of your business, you're responsible for setting that vision and clarifying the direction. So it's really important that when you're setting goals, you're setting yourself up for the most productive goal setting session you could possibly have, right?
Tune in to this quick tip episode to hear about the way your environment affects your productivity when it comes to goal setting and how to curate your environment for a productive goal setting session. Grab your favorite note taking medium and join me!

Less Stuff, More Life: My Minimalist Home Journey
Have you ever felt overwhelmed by the clutter in your life, both physical and mental? I certainly have, and that's why I decided to do my own "Year of Less Challenge" this year. Each month, I've challenged myself to do less of something in order to free up more time and space for the things that matter most to me. What started as a month-long decluttering challenge in April stretched into four transformative months of decluttering, reevaluating my possessions, and embracing an even more minimal-ish lifestyle.
Like many people, my journey into minimalism began in 2015 when I stumbled upon Marie Kondo's book, "The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up." Little did I know that it would be the catalyst for a major life change and a decade long journey to pursuing minimalism in every area of my life and business.
Tune into this episode to learn more about my minimalist home journey, get a behind the scenes look at what it took to declutter my house from top to bottom this summer, and learn how this challenge has affected my business as a work-from-home entrepreneur!

Live More Intentionally with a Seasonal Bucket List
At the time this episode goes live, everyone is starting to get excited to enter a new season. The Target shelves are filled with pumpkin spice candles, fall wreaths, and back-to-school supplies galore. Fall is my absolute favorite season for so many reasons. It's a season of routine, reflection, and winding down, which is why I thought it would be the perfect season to introduce this concept of the "seasonal bucket list".
You've probably heard of bucket lists, and have maybe even made one yourself. A bucket list is just a list of experiences or goals that you want to check off your list before you "kick the bucket". Usually, these are the types of experiences or goals that won't get prioritized in your life unless you make an effort to pay special attention to them. I mean when is skydiving or hiking the Grand Canyon really ever going to be the most urgent thing on your to-do list?
Creating a bucket list can help motivate and inspire you to start truly living and experiencing your life, take some risks, get out of your day-to-day routine, and take advantage of the time you have here on Earth. In other words, bucket lists can inspire you to live more intentionally and focus on things that matter to you. But what if we could infuse that same sense of purpose and excitement into our everyday lives, without waiting for a far-off someday?
In this episode, I'm going to share with you my process for creating a seasonal bucket list so you can lean into fall and live just a little more intentionally this season. You can also download a free Seasonal Bucket List Guide HERE to get the step-by-step summary sent to your inbox.
