Episode 73 - The C-Word Podcast - Brendan Gillam and Aaron Ellwood - Filament Coffee Co-founders
In episode 73 of The C-Word we chat with Brendan Gillam and Aaron Ellwood from Filament Coffee. These two guys met as graduate tax advisors in an accounting firm in 2009 and after five or so years of building their friendship and our careers, they both knew they wanted to do "something" outside of advisory but just weren’t quite sure what. They’d heard about cold brew at a client meeting near the end of 2015 and tested a batch of pre-ground coffee that night and loved everything about it. In early 2016 they began selling their cold brew in bottles at a farmer's market and used the money they made there to buy more coffee and more equipment as they grew. Today, they’re both full time in the business and supply cold brew in kegs to cafes, supermarkets and offices around Perth - as well as their brand-new product, Caskii - to wholesales customers all over Perth and online. Episode 69 - The C-Word Podcast - Daisy Jarvis - Founder of Sneaky Wholefoods
In episode 69 of The C-Word we chat with self confessed snack addict, Daisy Jarvis. There’s no need to ask, "Would you like a snack?", because her answer will always be a " F@#K YES". For years Daisy consumed "healthy" highly processed snacks bars, full of fillers, sugar alcohols and artificial bulls#!t. These snack bars were stripped of everything wholesome and pumped up with cheap ingredients and empty calories and served her body no benefit. Daisy saw the gap in the market, and in 2014 Sneaky Wholefoods was born, as one of the very few handmade retail ready snack bar brands in Australia. Daisy took the chance, to create real value to her snack time and now it's come full circle with thousands of people snacking on Sneaky Wholefoods around Australia daily.
