CTZN Cosmetics - Making Beauty Accessible for All (ft. Aleena, Aleezeh and Naseeha Khan)

Hi all! In this episode, I am in conversation with Aleena, Aleezeh and Naseeha Khan - the dynamic sister trio who are the founders of CTZN Cosmetics. CTZN (pronounced Citizen) Cosmetics is a revolutionary makeup brand breaking barriers within the beauty industry. CTZN Cosmetics aims to disrupt the makeup world by not only addressing what is lacking in the current beauty landscape but also making necessary advancements forward.  CTZN’s focus is primarily on the underrepresentation of demographic groups by mainstream makeup companies. All products are strictly genderless, clean, vegetarian-vegan, where possible, and free of cruelty, parabens, and talc.

Med School & Shattering Stereotypes (ft. Karishma Mistry)

Med School & Shattering Stereotypes (ft. Karishma Mistry)

Are you a med school aspirant or current student? Being a doctor is a very noble job but the path to get there is not easy - in this episode, I talk with Karishma Mistry, a third-year medical student at St. George’s University who is currently doing her rotations in Brooklyn, New York. We talk about Karishma's journey into Med School, how being a transplant recipient and coming from a family of doctors inspired her to take this path. We also talk about the stigmas associated with going to Med School in the Caribbean and how these stereotypes are NOT true - the geographic location of the school does not make you any less of a doctor.

Hope you enjoy this episode and don't forget to leave a rating/review on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts or any of your favorite podcast streaming platform.
