Turning to God (like our children turn to us)

Turning to God (like our children turn to us)

Jesus prioritized His relationship with His Father. And not once does Scripture record that He felt guilty about taking time away from His followers to do it. How can Jesus’ example (and the way our children look to us) help us overcome the guilt that many moms feel when taking time away from our families to connect with the Father? Take a listen.

Your To Do List vs Your To Be List

Your To Do List vs Your To Be List

Moms are doers. At times, though, we can feel overwhelmed at our To Do lists. And when we don’t get it all done, we feel like we failed or vow to work even harder. Striving to do more is not God’s plan for us. When we pause and view our To Do list through the eyes of abiding in Jesus, we can realize that our To Be list matters more than our To Do list. Take a listen.

    Slow Down

    Slow Down

Back to school doesn’t have to mean back to busy. Have you ever noticed that when asked — How are you doing? — many of us answer: Busy, without a second thought. It's the cultural norm in our world, even our vacations often look and feel BUSY. However, Jesus models for us a different norm. He invites us to slow down and move at His pace. Take a listen.

Excellent start

Wow! I so appreciate how you are obedient in telling us the words God gives you to say. I am convicted in the thought that I cannot let him lead me if I am hurrying and going in front of him. And what a liberating idea to think that Jesus himself did not feel guilt at not hurrying. Am I then trying to be like him by taking on the guilt? I really appreciate your giving me these thoughts to consider. I am looking forward to next week.

So intentional!

Love this podcast - short but so thoughtful. I love that it was so focused on mirroring Christ and the example he provided for us. No more mom guilt for resting!
