Oh Chalene! Another goodie indeed. That was awesome to have Leanne Vogel on as that brought things even more to light that I’m continually ‘working’ on. She was someone I happened upon early in when I was part of the beta test group for pre 131. If we’re being honest about how that all started for many of us—it was all in Keto for a while. This was more than 2.5 years ago for me —my first run was the Mar 13 2017 inception of that program. So of course I think as a natural progression as it goes for many of us—we engross ourselves in insert eating plan —in my case it was Keto as I was feeling better than I ever had before and LOVED my body changes so much. Well as one would expect...that only worked for a while. At about the 2 year marker for me —noticeable changes were a muck in my body an even though I had fully engaged in the real deal 131method and diet phased — I found for my lifestyle that IF and keto was the “easier” thing to do and sometimes you just need easy. Well, fast forward and long story short, this entire past year or so—I’ve been on a digestive nightmare. So still working on that —insert Viome and the hopefulness I hold there. Sadly I’m one of the folks waiting on my results/recommendations.
And seeing a new Doc this Friday.
All this to say it was very enlightening to hear LeAnn speak on her struggles and becoming more authentic and in truth about her journey. Honestly I had stoped tuning into her content bad I knew I needed to back away from Keto (and I absolutely have). I’m actually really floored my in-depth love if Kerry golf butter in my coffee now repulses me. My body just cannot take it in.
Such learning lessons always and I never put any blame on anyone or even myself —it’s just the journey. We ALL struggle and have to go back to the drawing table from time to time.

Perfect Timing

The timing of your podcast today about sending your kid off to college was incredibly perfect! I leave this morning to take my youngest son to college and next week I’m dropping my oldest son off in San Clemente, CA for an internship. It’s surreal! Thank you for helping me see that everything I’m feeling is totally normal. I’m so proud of the job I’ve done raising my sons as a single mom. My kids have been front and center of my life since I was 22 years old. And while I’m sad that this time has come, I’m also looking forward to shifting more of the focus on me. Everything has been worth it! Thank you, thank you!
