Start in a Place That's True with IN-Q

Storytelling is one the oldest art forms. It connects us. Our brains our wired for it. Story is not only a way for us to share and connect with others, but a path to deeper understanding and vulnerability. That's why I'm very excited to have on the show award winning Poet, Author, and Performer, IN-Q.

He's been featured all over the place including A&E, ESPN, HBO, and companies such as Nike, Instagram, Spotify, and many more.
In our conversation, we get into his new book, Inquire Within. In fact, he reads a bit of it on the show. It's an awe-inspiring rhythmic exploration of transforming love, loss, and forgiveness into growth. Super excited for you to hear it. We also get into:
Developing your own voice by focusing on what's moving and meaningful for you How to find calm in the chaos Using vulnerability to short-cut and deepen relationships in our lives and much much more.  If you enjoy the show, please give a shoutout to IN-Q on all the social platforms, and be sure to check out his book, Inquire Within.

    Getting Comfortable with Being Uncomfortable

    Getting Comfortable with Being Uncomfortable

Being uncomfortable isn't usually fun. In fact, we're probably more likely to try to avoid uncomfortable situations than actually run toward them. Yet, it is a valuable skill. Not only in dealing with adversity but giving us confidence and trust in ourselves to recover quickly from failure, manage our fears, and explore the unknown.
In today's episode, we dive a big deeper into this topic and I share a few ways we can all practice getting comfortable with being uncomfortable.
    Enjoy!

Choose Wonder Over Worry with Amber Rae

In a time when fear, doubt, and uncertainty creep in, it’s more important than ever to tune into our emotional wellness and health. That’s why I’m excited to share my conversation with Amber Rae on the show today.
Amber Rae has been called “The Brené Brown of Wonder.” She’s a multi-talented artist, entrepreneur, and author. Her work has been featured in The New York Times, NY Mag, TODAY, Self, Fortune, Forbes and Entrepreneur and collaborated with numerous big brands. In our conversation:
We are not our feelings and some of our internal voices are not all ours. How family trauma and/or generational trauma can effect us Amber shares her personal experiments to explore inner healing, including naming her inner critics and how it allows her to be able to be more observant of what comes  Addiction and how can we create “wake up” calls as a catalyst for change and much more. And BTW - Amber is launching a 30-day journaling journey called Journal Your Feelings, today. To follow along, go to journalyourfeelings.com

    Self-Care Reboot

    Self-Care Reboot

I talk a big game about self-care, but the truth is: life happens. We can’t all be perfect in our self care routines all the time. We’re human. The name of the game is progress, not perfection. But how do we avoid getting so far off track, that the occasional slip turns into a trend? If you're feeling a bit drained, disconnected, or even sick, it might be time for a reset.
In this episode, I share a few strategies I use to help me check-in and course correct. Is it time for a self-care reboot?
    Enjoy!

Kamal Ravikant was in a dark place. After four years of pouring his heart, soul, and money into his tech startup, it blew up. He lost everything - including himself. The practice Kamal formed became the self-published book: Love Yourself Like Your Life Depends on It. It sold over a half a million copies and is now newly expanded. In our conversation Kamal shares his ruthlessly practical way he unwound the negative thoughts and more importantly, made it last.

Thought leader in creativity

I stumbled back on to Chase after listening to him speak about his new book and I’m blown away! Working with students across the Americas I can confidently say that creativity is fundamental to their success. With that said, the way Chase is able to communicate the importance of creativity so succinctly and in an engaging manner makes me so hopeful for the implementation of his theories and strategies on the youth. Not only is he an effective communicator but he’s is just a good overall dude. Highly recommend to all!
