Ignorance is bliss

The comments blaming Chernobyl on "socialism" or "liberalism" are profoundly and deliberately stupid, considering America had its own partial meltdown at Three Mile Island seven years earlier.

Chernobyl was worse because the Soviets were steeped in the nationalism and misinformation that is, in fact, rearing its head again in America and around the world. The HBO series and this podcast should absolutely be interpreted as a warning of those dangers. Period.

I want the story Not the Politics

Can we please just leave political opinions out of anything for ONCE?! I want to keep listening because the story is fascinating but I hate hearing ignorant comparisons about a communist government being compared to the Trump administration. Might have to stick with just the show if it continues.

Must listen for a must-see show

A wonderful accompaniment to the show, it fleshes out some details in a show already so rich in detail and nuances. I’m going to rewatch each episode immediately after listening to each podcast.
