    I was recently introduced to The Still Workout which is like an active Scripture meditation. It’s very calm and slow and focuses on things like strength, stretching, fascia release, breathing and postural alignment all while the leader speaks scripture over you and into you. It’s lovely.

    We’re talking about gut health in this week’s episode - specifically zeroing in on fiber and diving into diverticulitis which affects so many people across the country.

    My guest, Terri Ward, wrote a book called The Healing Diverticulitis Cookbook which lays out a plan that includes a 3-day clear liquids phase, then a 2-week low fiber recovery phase, and then a high fiber maintenance phase. I think it’s a great digestive reset whether you have diverticulitis or not!

    173: The Electron Diet

    Each day our body attempts to maintain a negative charge by gaining electrons and excreting excess protons. We do this through secretions like sweat, urine, poop and tears - which are all positively charged. Turns out, a huge foundation of health hinges on our body having a “net negative charge” - being more negative than positive - which happens when we have more electrons than protons. We typically associate negative with bad, but in the case of our body - negative is good! Too many protons and not enough electrons is an equation for inflammation. Inflammation has a net positive charge. Health has a net negative charge.

    In this week’s podcast episode, we’re talking about The Electron Diet and how to get more electrons into your body. God has given us three primary ways: through sunshine, through grounding, and through food.
