Fun stuff and interesting

Loving the podcast so far. I like the musician viewpoint that you bring as you dive into the production, mix and guitar style more than most other reviewers. My music theory isn’t strong but I get most of it. I think it’s a good balance.

I’m playing catch-up and listening in order as to not hear the feedback before I hear your reviews. A couple albums/artists to consider, “...and Out Come The Wolves” by Rancid, “Bleach” by Nirvana, “Meddle” by Pink Floyd, anything by Edgar Winter Band, anything by Frank Zappa or solo Iggy Pop. Keep up the good work.

Guy #1 makes it worthwhile but...

I listened to about 20 hours so far due to sensible intelligence of guy #1, perfect subject matter, great gear talk, seem to do good research, what is there to not like?

Guy #2 excessively whoops and howls at everything that he (guy #2) says. If the loud forced laughter could be cut to a minimum this would be an easy five stars for me. Everybody in podcasting wants to be Chris Rock instead of Dan Carlin. I will probably keep listening though to see if they grow a bit because I do enjoy the music trivia. Guy #2 seems to just hate everything and it is repulsive. Did I mention that each time he guffaws the entire show stops dead in its tracks? So he can laugh some more. About something that is not funny. Which eats up time. Then he ridicules Van Halen for putting useless filler on their multi-million selling albums.

It’s really quite amazing how condescending Guy #2 is, laughing at and ridiculing Kiss, Zeppelin, Jagger, etc. They aren’t perfect to be sure. However, if those musicians made such poor choices making albums they must have really had the industry, fans and their bankers fooled.

At least we now have Guy #2 to set us all straight. He acts like he has sold more records than The Beatles and Elvis combined. If this was a movie podcast he would second guess Citizen Kane, Wizard of Oz and Goodfellas. While laughing maniacally.

What I’ve been looking for!

If you want actual in-depth discussion of rock albums then you have found it. I love listening to these guys, both are musicians and give great feedback on playing and producing. I plug in my headphones and just get lost in my favorite music. My one complaint would be that they are reaching on a couple of these albums by calling them classic rock, but overall it’s excellent. Thanks guys!
