The Heart of the Cross | Steve Jeffery from REVIVE 2019
The heart of the cross is penal substitutionary atonement. But what does that mean exactly, and why do many theologians object to this doctrine? Steve Jeffrey is the Minister of Emmanuel Evangelical Church in north London. He helped write a book on this topic - Pierced for our Transgressions. He unpacks this doctrine for us by looking back to the Old Testament for clues to this pattern embedded all throughout scripture.

Knife Crime: What can we do? How can we pray? | Jason O'Shea from REVIVE 2019
Today on the Co-Mission Podcast we hear from Jason O'Shea, a missionary for London City Mission in Lewisham. He and his wife Tayo run Operation Forgiveness, an outreach program for school children that looks to tackle the knife crime epidemic in London.
Please note: this week's podcast is a tough listen, but it is very important.
Jason Roach wrote an article about how The Bridge Battersea are facing serious youth violence on the estate they are in. This issue is directly affecting our churches and communities across our city. We need to pray.
Evangelism Reboot | Tom Heasman
Evangelism Reboot: How to Get Conversations Going when No-one is Asking Questions
We’re finally (sorry about the delay) posting the final seminar talks from REVIVE 2019 and today we’re hearing from Tom Heasman, one of the associate pastors at Dundonald Church.
Does it feel like your evangelistic zeal has rather cooled off? Do you struggle to know how to start evangelistic conversations and what to say to people? Tom is going to help us as we think about how to go and tell the gospel in our secular age.
Tom is behind a number of first step evangelistic resources, your church may be using one of them - A Better Hero and A Better Life. You can find out more about these resources, and more at Something Better, a website put together by Dundonald Church to equip church members in evangelism.
