7 Things I Wish I Knew When I Started Lifting - #3: Training Only 'Mirror Muscles'
In today's episode of 7 Things I Wish I Knew When I Started Lifting I talk about wishing I had focused more on training 'non-mirror' muscles - such as back, glutes, hamstrings, and also direct core work.
It's important not to neglect training the muscles you can't see - you want to be strong all over to avoid injury and imbalances!
I also address the question of "do you need to do direct core work if you squat and deadlift?"
I explain why base core strength development is important no matter what your goals are.
If you haven't listened to the previous two episodes in the series on Do You Have to Barbell Squat & Deadlift? and Machines vs Free Weights, I encourage you to do so now.
