    As a business owner, you wear many hats. But at some point, you may need to bring in help to wear some of those other hats. When is the right time to hire a coach? Here are a few things to consider…
     
    What are you already doing well, trained at, and good at, that you can do easily without having to learn a new skill? What’s your start-up budget like, and how much cashflow does your business have available to affordably invest in support? If you say “I have NOTHING”, then it’s time for a big reality check - no business has nothing, there’s always opportunities for reducing expenses somewhere and finding revenue somewhere else! Start small and grow steady with clearly defined investment of support - it would be nice if you could hire out everything all at once, but as we discuss in this episode, part of the puzzle of business ownership is deciding where to allocate your resources!

    I’m a huge advocate of creating a support system so that you can “have it all” in your life…
     
    BUT you need to make sure that the support system is adequately supported, or else you might find yourself in a worse situation.
     
    Hiring creates expense, both in time management and expenses - hiring is often positioned as the solution, but it’s an incomplete solution if you don’t have the processes and planning in place to make sure you are making:
     
    - The correct hires
    - The correct role definitions
    - The correct budgeting to support paying the roles
     
    Often it’s the feelings and emotions that lead to emotional decisions, without the strategic decision-making and processes. 
     
    For my consciousness-based coaches out there, think of it as balancing the masculine and the feminine…
     
    For my science and business-minded coaches - think of it as balancing the structure and the flow of the business.

Super useful short impactful episodes. Have listened to several in the back catalogue. Have a coaching call set up with them tomorrow so was trying to get a handle on the advice.

Working with Amanda and Chris has been awesome. They really care about their clients and are willing to help you wherever you are at. The support is amazing. Love the community they have built and I hope to have one just like it one day soon. Not sure if I can pull off their humor, but they are role models for sure!

They deliver the knockout punch.

I have been following Amanda and Chris for a little while now and just learned about thier podcasts. I like to have snipits that I can listen to either in the car, in the shower, or on a run. I am so thankful to tune in to both of them. They bring the energy but more important they bring thier very authentic selves in what they are saying. Highily recommend them.
