    Ep 93 - How to Outsource Your Pitching (ft. The Chad)

    Hey friends! Welcome back to another episode of the speak to scale podcast. In this episode we're talking all about how to outsource your pitching for getting featured on podcasts. As business owners, it’s always preached to us that we need to outsource things in our business to free up time to and stay in our zone of genius. I completely agree with this theory, but when it comes to pitching podcasts we've been sold a lie. We've been told that we should hire some agency or assistant to get our message in front of as many podcasts as possible. What we don't see when employing this method of efficiency is what it actually looks like on the receiving end. In this episode we're going to take you behind the scenes and share with you exactly what it's like for us as podcast hosts to get those types of pitches in our inbox. We want to share what it feels like to receive “spray and pray” pitches and share some best practices on how you can improve your pitches and get featured on more podcasts so I brought on our podcast manager, the one and only “Rad Dad Chad” to give us some insight on the matter. Enjoy!

    Episode takeaways you don’t want to miss:
    Why you should be defending your audience when it comes to who you have on a podcast you’re hosting. Why the spray and pray method of pitching is a HORRIBLE idea and will NOT get you the results you’re after. The correct and impressive way to pitch a podcast you want to be on. Your podcast pitch could possibly be a first impression. You never get a second chance at a first impression…. The importance of making your pitch count! Why outsourcing our pitching can be a very bad idea How to properly outsource your pitching if you decide to go that route Why you need to invest some time understanding audience of the podcast you’re pitching

    Ep 91 - Should you pay to speak

    Happy new year! This is our first episode of 2020 and I could not be more excited to ring in the new year and help you get set up for success to leverage speaking to scale your business. Today I want to answer a question that I actually get quite often, which is “should I pay to speak?”. Have you ever been put in a position where you were told about an incredible speaking opportunity and then you found out that in order to speak at the event you were going to have to make an investment? It might seem a little backwards that you are going to show up and do an incredible job developing a presentation and pouring into the audience all while having to come out of pocket to do so. It sounds crazy, but there are times when it's a smart move! Tune as I walk you through when this is/isn’t a good idea.

The missing link for “public speaking”

Jessica not only has a lovely speaking voice, her tips, resources and interviews are so super relevant.

I am not currently a public speaker, but have a futre track of being an expert (speaker) of my purposeful content over the next 24months or so.

Jessica has the best approach, framing and
“inside—->out” advice and teaching.

I just joined her online program and am confident that the combo of her podcast and the tools I will be learning over the next few months will 100% elevate my ability to find the right path to success (in my particular niche) 😍
