    45) Jan Baalsrud: Escape from the Gestapo during WW2

Today we will be talking about Jan Ballsrud, a tough guy that was as hardy as they come. His story seems so outrageous that it would be suited for an adventure drama made for Hollywood. Jan was a Norwegian Commando during WW2 who swam through icy water during enemy attack, survived an avalanche, and amputated  his toes.

Great survival podcast

Awesome show. They share really interesting survival stories. Looking forward to the show’s evolution. I currently think the Out Alive by backpacker podcast is the gold standard in survival story podcasts but this one is my 2nd favorite in that genre now.

Awesome podcast!

I like the way you present your stories; real, honest, humorous, and sweet. You girls rock!i love hearing about your personal life as well as your true survival stories:

Very blah

Couple of bland, basic white girls reading stories off of Wikipedia while sipping their pumpkin spice latte’s. Hard to listen to them
