On this episode, Phil and Paulino dive into Hector's real-estate investment journey. Last year alone, Hector successfully flipped over 60 real-estate properties and in 2022, Hector projects that his company will flip about 100 houses! This week on The Curious Investor Podcast, Phil and Paulino have a conversation with Connor Abel. Connor Abel is a former Marine, an insurance broker, a land flipper, and he runs an e-commerce business with his wife. Connor really was adamant about surrounding yourself with like-minded people so that you can fast track your wealth-building. Some ways that you can build your network is by joining an online Mastermind, just like Phil did, going to meetups, or simply messaging people you know that are successful. Another interesting topic that was discussed, and this was a first on this podcast, was the evolving world of digital real-estate within the Metaverse. This is a very new world that is in its infancy. It is fascinating how people are utilizing this platform to add value to peoples lives as well creating unique investment opportunities that most people do not know much about yet. In this episode we had the pleasure of having Jay Helms, the founder of The W2 Capitalist on the show! Jay has had a really interesting journey, from working a well paying 9 to 5 job in the IT sector to then being laid off during the pandemic. After he got laid off he wasn't sure what he was going to do next but once he gave it some thought, he decided to double down on real-estate investing and take it full time. During this time he also began ramping up his real estate mastermind The W2 Capitalist, which is a community of various different types of real estate investors joining together to grow and to have a group of like-minded people to go to for questions and conversations about real estate.
