Love it

I absolutely love this podcast. Its brief, informative, and the compassion oozes out. During this so very difficult time, when i listen to numerous podcasts each day to keep ip with the news, this is the podcast that energizes and soothes me. I am so grateful for this podcast!

Needs more balance

While quite informative it is obvious that Mr Hohmann is left leaning and an ardent opponent of President Trump. This is fine for civilians but a news reporter who represents an esteemed organization like The Washington Post should be impartial. Just my opinion.

Needs an editor

The structure and stories chosen are generally good.

But, the host desperately needs to spend more time and effort learning to properly read his script. When he stumbles over his words or regularly mispronounces foreign-originating words, it makes him and the Post look amateurish. For example, on the 5/16/19 podcast he consistently mispronounces the Chinese telecom company Huawei as “Yahwe.” It’s not like Huawei is a total unknown company, and I’m sure that someone at the Post would have been able to provide the correct pronunciation.
