Episode 274: Twitter, Siri, and design

Episode 274: Twitter, Siri, and design

Twitter is going through some tough times right now, which led Dave to explore another option. We talk about what he likes about one of the alternatives that he's been using. Everyone knows that in order to use Siri, you have to say the phrase, "Hey Siri." But that may be changing so you only have to say "Siri" to use it—Dave and I talk about the change and what it could mean for users. We also talk about Apple's design team and if product design is changing at the company, and what that could mean for users.

Episode 271: iPads, Apple TV, and Apple Watch ad

It was a big week for iPad lovers as Apple introduced two new devices, one entry-level and one iPad Pro. The problem seems to be that there is some confusion with the lower-end model receiving features that many expected to be in the pro version. Dave and I also talk about the new Apple TV and a really good Apple Watch Ultra commercial.

A sound program :)

The show is always enjoyable. Jim is a kick, and has really interesting guests. If I had anything that I wish could be different, I think the audio level could be evened out a bit. (Jim can get to sounding really soft and distant, maybe 10dB or more down from the guest.) Other than that, keep up the good work!

Could be a lot better

Jim is really great and knowledgeable, but that Dave is unlistenable. He cannot stop talking. He appears to speak about 80% of the time. I know it is not his fault, but his voice is like nails on a chalkboard. I think a speech coach may help. Dave does have some great insights, but needs to throttle back a bit and let Jim speak.
