On today’s Dan Patrick Show, DP and the guys gear up for a full weekend of college basketball as the NCAA Tournament’s first round tips off this afternoon. However, much of the sports spotlight remains on Deshaun Watson and the allegations that swirl around him. NBC Sports’ Peter King joined the show in the first hour to discuss the latest on that as well as what the Jets may do with their second pick. Dan gets the local reaction to the Watson news when he talked to Houston sports talk radio host Sean Salisbury. Simply put, the mood around Houston is gut-wrenching on the news, especially from a person who was one of the most liked athletes in the city. Lastly, as the tournament begins today, Jim Jackson joined the show in the final hour to talk about which top seed is the most vulnerable, along with other story lines across the first weekend of the NCAA Tournament.

Sick of Jeff (Geoff) in Detroit
I’m sorry but I’m just really sick of this guy getting through every day. Don’t need to hear from Geoff ever. Somehow, he gets on the show everyday. Maybe you could ask other people on chat row to call. I have been listening for 10 years and do not remember Geoff getting any sort of presidential status over the chat row. I cringe every time I hear “whaddup one time for chat row.” Rather hear fritzy do mock headlines.
Why is this show 3 hours
This show used to be fun with unpredictable conversations. Now it’s same garbage NFL topics. Repeat segments with no other discussion of other sports. Also trying Watson as if he is guilty in public court is despicable. Roethlisberger never got this treatment for settling his sexual assault case. I don’t think Dan is a racist, but already assuming he may settle and not presenting all the facts leads to unintentional bias.
