Dave Asprey - “Laziness has driven all of human progress… embrace your inner laziness”

Dave Asprey - “Laziness has driven all of human progress… embrace your inner laziness”

Dave Asprey is a pioneer of the biohacking movement, elevating human performance through scientific research combined with ancient healing traditions. He has educated and changed millions of peoples lives, through his podcast- ‘The Human Upgrade’ and his 4 New York Times Bestselling Science books. In this episode we discuss his new book “Smarter Not Harder: A Guide to Reclaiming and Optimising Your Health” (an absolute must read!)
He exposes the surprising secrets of our body’s operating system, or its “MeatOS, a system that is naturally designed to be lazy. Dave tells us how to hack the MeatOS and make it do what we want it to do, turning it from obstacle, to ally. The key to achieving optimum wellness, he reveals, isn’t about doing more, it’s about doing less—exercising and eating smarter, not harder, and making the body’s built in laziness work for you.

Dr Cate Shanahan- “The hateful eight oils are used as engine lubricants and pesticides… and we’re eating these every single day”

Dr Cate Shanahan is an expert in fixing the underlying problems that cause metabolic damage and inflammation, leading to autoimmunity, weight gain, diabetes, cancer and accelerated ageing processes. She is on a mission to educate people on the danger of seed oils, an ingredient that is so prominent in our diet. After discovering Dr Cate and her research a few years ago I cut out seed oils from my diet and saw a dramatic improvement to my health. Losing weight was so much easier, my biological age decreased, my mood increased and my addictive eating went.
Trust me, this conversation will change your life.

Producer Charlie and me- Get to know me a little better and hear why I'm so excited to make this series.

We’re doing things a little differently for episode one, as my producer Charlie is interviewing me! I thought it would be a great opportunity to tell you more about my journey in the health and biohacking space and why I am so excited to make this series.
I’m 45 now and in the best shape of my life, but that hasn’t always been the case. Eight years ago I was overweight, depressed and unmotivated. In desperation, I turned to biohacking to sort my brain out, which came with an unexpected bonus of losing three stone, beating brain fog and gaining tons of energy.
Whatever your intentions or goals, I hope our conversation leaves you empowered and motivated to learn more and do more, so that you can lead a healthier and happier life.
