Great content that is biased

I have been listening to The Diane Rehm show since 1991. It used to be incredible — 5 stars. Diane asked great questions and had incredible panel discussions usually presenting all sides. Diane herself was clearly left of center but the interviews, the panel discussions, and choice of questions meant to elicit fulsome responses were balanced, entertaining, and educational. Many times I learned something wrong with my point of view and learned something right about another’s opposite point of view b/c of the format and the attempt to be fair. However, since about halfway through Bush’s first term / 911 it has been a steady slide to being a mouthpiece of liberal/progressive talking points. It became very hard to listen to during the Obama administration as it appeared the show lost all objectivity and was nowhere near as critical as it had been of Bush or Clinton administration policies. I would say the last 5-10 years were a 3 at best mainly due to the production quality and the occasional balanced panel discussion. Find old episodes and compare/contrast to see what I mean. It is a real shame to see “national” public radio stop being national and instead be focused on one point of view.
