We have big news! We are expecting a little one! With that has come alot of talks about what we listen to and watch and whether or not some things need to change. While on vacation with some friends last week, we started this conversation and have carried it over into this episode. We hope it entertains, challenges, and encourages you!

It's been a while since we've gathered around the digital campfire! This episode we just discuss what's been going on lately with us both, as well as our thoughts on James and Romans, and why it seems like they may contradict. We also discuss church fellowship and how we can seek to do it more!

Our dear friend Garret joins us on this episode to catch up and talk about life. We all work fully remote, and wanted to  discuss the differences we have noticed in our own lives now compared to working on site. We also discuss gluttony, a topic many times we fail to consider in our daily lives, and ways we can fight it's lie of comfort and satisfaction. We hope this conversation entertains and blesses you!

There are many who divide on Romans 7 and it's application for the saints. Some believe that Paul is refering to his lost self in verses 14-24, while others believe that Paul is refering to his current state as a Christian who is still burdend by the sin that dwells within him.  Dr. Tom Schreiner  joined the Southern Baptist Theological Smeinary faculty in 1997 after serving 11 years on the faculty at Bethel Theological Seminary. He also taught New Testament at Azusa Pacific University. Schreiner, a Pauline scholar, is the author and editor of several books including over the topic we will be discussing, and we believe he will be able to help us in our understanding of Romans 7. 

Erika and I got to go down to asbury on day 6 and 7 to see for ourselevs if the Spirit was being poured out over his people. We talk about what we saw, what we think, and how we believe Christians should respond to movements like this. 

In this episode we hop on the phone with Dr. Sam Storms. He's the pastor emeritus at Bridgeway Church in Oklahoma City and author of multiple books including Practicing the Power : Welcoming the Gifts of the Holy Spirit in your life.  He is the founder of Enjoying God ministries, is an Amillennial, Calvinistic, charismatic, credo-baptistic, complementarian, Christian Hedonist who loves his wife of 50 years, his two daughters, his four grandchildren, books, baseball, movies, and all things Oklahoma University. This episode Erika and I ask Dr. Storms some questions that we regularly ask ourselfs and wrestle with. How do we know if all these gifts are for today? How do we know we have operated in them or have just deceived ourselves? Tune in to hear our thoughts and Dr. Storms responses!
