Prey (2022) and the Predator Franchise
After watching and enjoying Prey (2022) Dave, Marcus, and Colin dive deep into the Predator franchise discussing each of the movies. Spoiler alert: the first and last are the two best of the 6 movies.

Close Encounters (1977) - Is it Really a Sci-Fi Masterpiece?
Dave, Colin and Marcus are back to tackle Steven Spielberg's follow-up to Jaws, the 1977 smash hit Close Encounters. Colin loves the film due to seeing it as a kid and listening to the John Williams soundtrack. Marcus is also a fan due to his own obsessive need to sculp things out of mashed potatoes. Dave has only ever seen the film twice and while he enjoys it, after watching it recently with his kids, he questions if it's truly a masterpiece (as in the "top 10 sci-fi films of all time").
Everybody agrees, Roy is no longer worth of his "world's greatest Dad" mug, on account of his decision to make out with strange women and abandon his family. -
Halloween Ends (2022) - Thoughts on the New Trilogy + "Michael Myers Sausage"
The guys discuss the final film in David Gordon Green’s new Halloween Trilogy, and the brief career of unsuccessful serial killer “Corey Myers.” Marcus struggles to pronounce “Haddonfield,” and Dave has a creative suggestion for how to best punish Michael Myers.

Donnie Darko (2001) - Mythology or Madness?
The guys discuss Richard Kelly’s first film – the cult classic Donnie Darko, staring Jake Gyllenhaal, Jena Malone, Drew Barrymore, and the late Patrick Swayze. Along the way, they debate the merits of ambiguity vs. a full explanation, Dave almost learns to pronounce “Cannes,” and everybody marvels at the fantastic hallway shot set to “Head Over Heels.” Everybody loves the soundtrack and thinks the Frank the Bunny costume is downright creepy. By the end of the episode it's clear that everybody remains strongly committed to Sparkle Motion.

Loving this podcast, really fun
This is a super fun podcast! These guys love movies--but tend to take an irreverant approach to their discussions, often ending up with some funny moments. The host Dave and his sidekicks Marcus and Collin all have distinct personalities. It's like kicking back with your buddies and talking about your favorite—and not so favorite—films. They're definitely not professional critics but they often have insightful discussions peppered with a lot of background info and trivia—combined with a good amount of ribbing. I have tons of fun listening. The Dredd podcast was particularly good.

Love this podcast - fun, funny, and actually informative. These guys are very comfortable with each other which makes it fun to be part of the conversation - if you met them in a bar, I bet you could talk movies for hours and have a great time.
